Routine or superstition? They are getting blended here ^^^\
Routine is ball mark left pocket cause I have to take my glove off to get to it and I never put with a glove.
Tees in right pocket cause I don't have to take my glove off to get to it.

Superstitions are: Only pink Tees I swipe from my daughters bag for driver. (pink punk'n tees) Don't ask, don't care, it works.
Never ever ever ever keep a spare ball in my pocket. If you have it you'll have to use it.
Always use a busted dropped Tee on iron shots from the box.
#1 rule (superstition) never brag on your game. ANY PART OF YOUR GAME.
Ditto on the broken tee. I'll look around the tee box for a nearly embarrassing amount of time if I can't find a broken tee on par 3's or par 4's where I play an iron or hybrid. Only the driver gets a fresh tee.

I agree with those who use a broken tee on par 3s, that's a must.

The group of guys I play with has inherited somewhat of a superstition based on a friend of mine. Nicest guy you'd ever want to meet, but he had a bad habit of complimenting a shot or putt way too soon, i.e. he'd say "nice putt!" almost immediately after you hit the ball and of course most of those end up missing. So naturally I started blaming him for any bad shot/putt and now it is strictly forbidden in my group to talk to the ball before it comes to a rest.

And of course you never make fun of someone else's bad tee shot before you've hit yours.

Never, ever use a red tee. No red tee or broken red tee part can be on the ground near me.

Only even numbered carts.

Putt with glove in front right pocket only.

Extra tees, ball marker, divot tool front left pocket only.

No extra ball in any pocket.

First swing on the range with Pitching Wedge only - every time.

If course has a cat, pet it. Even if that bastxxx scratches the hell out of me.

When I mark my ball it's always heads up and the whoever is on the coin is facing the hole. Wanna make sure he's got a good look at the line.

Wouldn't that be a violation of rule 8.2 (unless of course the coin is your playing partner or caddie)? :derisive:

I have only one superstition and I'll even admit it's pretty dumb but it's more of a mental/confidence thing.

Before I tee off on the first hole I have to see the last putt I hit go into the hole on the practice green. There's been times when I arrived right at my tee time and I'll still run over to the practice green, drop a ball 2 feet away, hole it then run over to the first tee and go. I've been doing it so long I have forgotten when it started but it was something like 25-30 years ago and it's all about a confidence thing of seeing the ball go in the hole before I go to the 1st tee.

I use to have another superstition of sorts that my wife broke me from, lol! Having played for a number of years before we were married without a ring on my finger, I would take my ring off on the first tee and put it back on when I finished on #18. My wife doesn't play golf and I did this for years without her knowing I took it off to play golf.
About 8 years ago I finally forgot for whatever reason to put my ring back on after I finished play. I went home and sat down for lunch and my wife picked up on it immediately asking where my wedding ring was. I then had to go into a lengthy discussion that I always take it off when I play because it's a "feel thing" and I had just forgotten to put it back on. Being a non-golfer she just looked at me and said "that's just wierd"!
Well, the next round I played I figured what the heck I'll play with it on and see if it makes any difference. Of course it didn't and from that day on I've never taken it off to play. I never told my wife about my little experiment playing with it on and to this day I think she still thinks I take it off when I play. Oh, the secrets we keep from our spouses, lol!

1 long green plastic tee in right pocket. 2 balls in right pocket. divot repair tool right pocket.
Phone left pocket. Every. single. time.

Got in habit years ago of phone if left pocket. nothing else. everything else... right pocket. that way no scratches, nothing falls out when I take phone out of pocket. i use my phone for scoring and GPS when I walk (which is most of the time).

First tee box quick stretch is always the same.

Mine are more routines I guess.

One kinda superstition... I never take my glove off during a round. Quit doing it to put years ago. Now it stays on always. During the turn, piss break, everything. I comes off when I'm done.
Used to take it off to put, but realized that it was a lot of put it on, take it off, put it on, take it off. Years back I decided I wasn't a good enough putter to notice a "feel" or difference without it, so I left it on. Now I can put pretty decently and am just used to the glove.

Just the opposite of a lot of you. I have to have an extra ball in my pocket. Where I grew up playing there was no driving range and a 9 hole course so the way we practiced was to hit 2 shots if we wanted. Sharing a cart with a lefty we would many times be on opposite sides so I always had an extra and now don't feel right without one.

Also have to draw a line under the stamp on the ball with either a blue or green sharpie.

Close but different....I HAVE to use a broken tee on a par 3. But I can use a full tee on par 4's even with an iron. Some of my regular buddies know to throw down a broken tee when I'm not looking if I can't find one.

Whenever I tell someone I'm starting to figure out my swing it goes to hell.

Last week I broke 80, not the first time but I'm usually low to mid 80's. Anyway, I told my wife I was in a good place with my swing and maybe now I can spend less time on changes and just maintain what I'm doing. She was nice enough to feign interest. Anyway, the swing has been shaky since then, punctuated by an absolutely horrendous range session in perfect conditions tonight. So frustrating. I'm never telling anyone I'm happy with my swing again.
