No yellow tees.

Only use fresh tees with a driver. Never brag on my game or it goes all to crap. Never switch balls until it is lost. Driver always has to be in the back slot of the bag facing away from the cart. Never drink a beer until I have a Par. That's about all of them I think.

I'm about to start that superstition myself! I'm going to use a 100 yen coin from the year I was born.

I tried using a 2-franc coin, the idea being "Don't three putt". It worked well for that, except I never one-putted either!

Never use a full tee for less than driver off the tee. If I have to, I will break a whole tee from my pocket.

 

Never carry more than one ball in the pocket. As others have said, IMO it makes it OK to skank one cause I can just hit another one (when playing a practice round)

 

Never use a brand new ball off the 1st tee.

I refuse to use a natural color tee, it has to be a bright colored tee. That's why I like martini tees.

New golf ball, 4 regular wooden (wood color) tees, 1 short plastic tee for the 4W and Hybrid (tee off), ball mark repairing tool and a GolfWRX ball marker...

All my zippers in my bag need to be zipped up. Whenever I'm hitting a rough patch during the round. I would check my bag.

 

More often than not at least 1 zipper isn't zipped

I always mark my initials "CH" on the ball so that way nobody hits my ball if it was in a rough between two holes. My home course kind of has a lot of that to the point to where people hit someone else's ball. So far, it hasn't happened to me when I put "CH" on a ball.

Never want anyone to record my score as only I can record it (typically on my phone to track hc, etc.). Also get really upset if someone tells me what I shot at the turn after being the 'official scorer' of the 4 some even though no one asked them to. Don't get me wrong I know what I shot over/ under but am very superstitious about that last one especially. And finally (almost) never play a found ball - I give them all away.

I'm the opposite of many on this thread.

 

I hate using broken tees on par 3s. I'll walk back to the cart and get a new tee before using a broken one.

If I find an unbroken tee on the ground, I won't use it on that tee shot. But I can use broken tees immediately. My change is in my back left, divot tool in back right pocket. Balls and tees in left front, but no superstitions on number, color, markings -- don't care. If I'm playing with people who are using white balls, I'll use yellow -- makes it easier to tell which one is mine when we get over the hill. I'm starting to prefer the yellow balls.

Whenever I am putting, I have to have the logo up, with the sidestep facing my feet. Not sure how that started, but it has to be that way now.

Most of these posts, it could be argued, are more habits or preferences; ball goes here, use certain ball marker. I think where they cross the line to superstitions is, do you feel you won't perform as well, or you might get some weird thought in your head, if you didn't do these things?

 

I know that if I use a new ball off the tee, I'm mainly thinking 'don't lose this one', and guess what, that's not a good swing thought.

I can use a broken tee but I have to move it to a new location. But everyone knows that.

 

I like having a spare ball in my pocket on a water hole. The ball on the tee needs to know it can be replaced.

 

I read Couples only uses white tees because they're the only ones that work.
