Anyone getting the Xbox One X?

Bought the new COD for XB1. Ive been playing a lot of multiplayer and man, it seems like it's impossible to have a decent kill to death ratio on this game.

The campaign was great. Took about 12 hours but there were a lot of memorable levels. Going to try online tonight.

Wow there was actually a line when i picked up ww2 at GameStop.

 

I'm going to give it a few weeks but I'll probably grab it later. I've been burnt by buying the last 3 CoD and the only one I've played for more than a few hours was BO3. I figure that gives it a few weeks for the new to wear off and see if people are still playing it with the same fervor they have been lately.

Hopefully a game will come out that is non respawn with mission focused maps, everyone has access to the same weapons without leveling up, a lobby system where you switch sides to play with friends and vote out idiots, where communication is important and is skill is what matters. Oh wait I’m dreaming of Socom II again.

 

I have a lot of old gaming buddies and new coworkers that play a lot of games. They seem to all get bored with the shooters within a month or so.

 

I’m actually glad they don’t have one out right now, god only knows the hours and number of gf I lost because of that game back then. As it stands now my PS4 is in the closet. I’m sure I’ll hook it up when the new last of us comes out. Until then it’s golf and flats fishing in Florida.

If you enjoyed the Nintendo games of yesteryear, you MUST get a Switch.

 

I've been playing Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and it is truly one of the greatest single player games of all time. If you like RPGs, or have ever played WoW as a single player, this is a must play game. It is really that good!

 

It's HUGE and there is so much to do, it's down right intimidating. It's open world and can be tackled any way you want. Absolutely incredible.

 

I haven't even tried Mario yet...

I got it and prefer it to the "jet pack" CODs we've had recently. With that said, I sure haven't been too driven to play it much. I've had it for a few weeks, probably have 5-6 hours total on it, which I used to do in a day on old COD. Probably going to just pick it up randomly when I'm in the mood, preordered the new Destiny expansion which I'm regretting at this point since that game is a total cluster anymore. I guess kinda counting down the days until PUBG comes out for Xbox, but might just save myself $60 as my desire to play video games really get crapped on with Destiny 2...

I'd totally agree. Reminds me more of MW1 than BO3, for example (even though BO3 was the last decent CoD in my opinion). My only problem is I started late to the party (and apparently the first 3 weeks were running 2-3x XP) so everyone has prestiged at least 1x so everyone has the BAR unlocked or the anti-flinch basic training, which makes their gun like a laser. Really could use a double XP weekend when I'm going to be home over the next month to try to burn through some levels.

Last weekend I got the new COD and it's pretty sweet. I also got Madden 18 and it's much improved over 17. This year the opposing defense seems better and is harder to score on. On 17, corner strike was my bread and butter but that play usually leads to a pick.

luckily it's not that cold here (pacific northwest) and we have a streak of sunny days here. lows overnight of 30-34 daytime up to 55. no rain (YES!!!!!!!). but I'm preparing for when the rain inevitably will be here. I figure the COD or forza would be a good fit for those days.

I have and it’s fun, but it’s also a mix of today’s games and not having all the free time I did when I was in my early twenties without kids. I really don’t game anymore. Probably best they don’t release an updated version. It’s amazing how much time I put into that game, but hey I held a rank inside the top 10 for awhile.

So got a nice gift card from my boss for xmas and have another one coming on Friday for our monthly survey score bonus. Going to pick up a PS4 pro. Trying to figure out what games to start with.

 

Generally always have one of the following on hand, not a fan of fantasy or RPG

 

Golf game TW etc.

Racing game Gran Turismo and F1

Shooter Battlefield etc

Grand Theft Auto

 

Prob will pick up 3 maybe 4 games to start depending on prices Here is what I am looking at let me know if I am missing something or should look at something else. Single player is as important to me than online. Old school but I love a good single player campaign still.

Recon Wildlands is just ok. BF1 is great but gets rather old quickly. The guns are kinda lame, the maps are alright, graphics are incredible tho. TBH as a hardcore BF4 fan I've seen a huge resurgence on the servers in that game. Seems like everyone that found out about BF through BF1 wanted to give a more current warfare gaming a try. BF4 was like $20 with all the DLC's on the PS store not too long ago. I highly recommend it. No freemium bs, awesome graphics, and stellar online gameplay. Check out some Far Cry games too those are great single player games. GTA V is no different other than the fact that they keep adding onto the online system. RDR2 should be out next spring. Was supposed to be this Christmas but got delayed. Which I don't mind bc I'd rather see them put out a completed non buggy game.
