Had one years ago, u actually get 8, I struggled to get above 5 around town ;) I did touch 18 on the hwy, loved the car hated the fuel range. I even though about outfitting an extended tank if I kept the car. I moved onto Audi v10s from there, and couldn’t be happier but I do miss the high revving nature of the s85.

 

I assume yours is manual or the infamous SMG, I wanted a manual but ended up SMG great at full tilt clunky as hell at anything less but preaching to the choir...enjoy! Nothing wrong with 10 year old clubs I do the same as well cause I’m a gearhead too!

Dc traffic + tuned + no cats =4-6 mpg ;) smg gets bad rep, but if I did again I’d go 6 speed just because rowing gears on v10 sedan is extremely rare and decently satisfying, u can upgrade the trans a bit to make it better. Either way pm me some pics I miss my old beast I’ll dig up a photo for the crowd here as well

Thanks. I changed my mind on the colour 3 times, but I think I chose the correct one in the end. I’ve got 300 more miles to do until the running in period is complete, then I can have some fun. Driving around with it in comfort mode and staying below 4000 rpm is painful!

When I got a new Corvette Z06 last year I was supposed to keep it under 4k RPM and drive like a wuss for 500 miles. I RIPPEEEEED it out of the dealership and beat on it daily from day one. The car didn't blow up. The break in period is a scam IMO!

the colorado is actually an amazing truck. Pretty much everything out right now is good. The Engineers have things figured out in the Auto world.

 

When people ask me what should I buy I say pick something that looks nice and get it.

Back in the day MB used chicken grease to break in their motors and you had to go in at 500 mi, then 1000 mi and I think also at 1500 mi for your first oil changes. Thankfully they stopped that PITA break in late 90s IIRC.

 

But I'm with you, performance cars need to be driven hard. Did over 150 when I took my Panamera Turbo home and over 160 with my F12.

 

Funny story, the very first day I had my 360 Spider I took off the traction control.......it was my first mid engine car......took a corner at speed and jumped on it.....nose pointed at both ditches before I recovered. Needless to say I have never taken traction control off since!!!
