I drive a 2009 1500 Chevy Silvera(y)do LTZ that I bought new in 2008 had all the bells and whistles available at the time. It's got 220,000 miles on it, all of them mine (except when I drink too many on the course) and still looks like it's in great shape. Love the thing, but I'm in the market for a 2014 Ford F-150 (pre-aluminum body)

Titleist these days, however driver and fairway Callaway. Some new from

Titleist but also some older gems I’ve heard great reviews about. Previously had been a Nike guy (only as far back as early VR blade, covert, etc. - vapor fly) but began by falling in love with the old man’s Ping Eye 2 iron set.

716 MB’s

Callaway EPIC SZ very recently acquired, XR 16* FWY.

Funny thing is my 94 Ford Ranger 5spd with less than 85K miles, was less than what I paid in total for my current setup and bag! Truck after registration $950, via gov auction. Setup plus new Titleist lightweight cart bag $1370. Purchased 716 MB’s barely used off a great buddy but at a discount nonetheless. Great commuter and I happen to own a large harlequin Great Dane.An Infiniti G37 which I am blessed enough to be able to also own was more accommodating of said Dane in his early years! -_-

That said both vehicles are paid off and I’d rather not carry a car note again, like ever again. Money better used traveling, golfing, & golf_ho’ing!! Preferably together, well atleast the first two.Recently opened/came in touch with my inner golf_ho.

Is there a correlation? Maybe, but I think as the game of golf has grown and changed so have it’s patrons and their respectful demographic’s. I aspire to be able to afford the red Ferrari in the garage at some point. Afford not necessarily purchase! But even the most ridiculously expensive golf bag setup from any club maker anyone could so choose would still be easily more affordable right now or next season. Saving, selling older clubs, and trading our way to the next set am I right fellow golf_ho’s? I know there are those that have and can have both. As much as I currently love golf I’d rather test drive a variety of clubs than vehicles. I’ve owned/made payments on cars/clubs beyond my means at times and owned some others that one might consider a POS or junk clubs.

There were times the last few dollars on my debit card went to green fees or range balls when they could’ve been better spent. Times when my last few bucks until my next payday circa mid 2008/09 were put on 91 octane back in California, when that was upwards of $4.50 or maybe more. Now thankfully I can do both comfortably. I guess in my current life stage I’m drawn to golf equipment and the such, laughing at my wilder & younger need for speed self. But I’d guarantee that wild crazy guy never pictured himself so smitten with golf, that he’d find the same satisfaction in this game as he did from flooring an accelerator.

Ebbs & flows or peaks & valleys, call it what you’d like, I wish I could go back! Not to change a thing, but just to be able to live it all again!

My clubs are: Way too expensive

and My car is: falling apart because of it.

Love this! :)

Also your golf_wrx acct name, I know there is thousands of reasons for choosing one. Dane owner by chance?

Yes!

I ride him around like a horse.

Marmaduk(e) is always already taken on forums and such so I dropped the e.

Driver: M2

3w: 915d

Hybrid: Adams A12

Driving iron: Srixon

Irons: MB 712

Wedges: Vokey Sm5

Putter: SC Fastback

Car: just picked up an 07 BMW 335i w/ Dinan stage 3 tune. Only had 82k miles and meticulously maintained and upgraded. Jet Black with red leather inside... my wife calls it “the little black dress”...

Older clubs work great so I keep playing them with maybe a little tinkering mod here & there, but nothing major.

The car - it is a blast to drive, and my wife told me I had to get a new car for the past few months so I did. We have a few small kids and she gave me the green light to get a coupe so we can have a fun car because she drives the minivan everyday.

Irons: 7-LW TM RSi1

Putter: Ping B6

My car:

Is not a car, I drive a Dodge Ram 2500 Megacab diesel pickup truck

Was asked once by a former boss why I drive such vehicles. My response to him was "It fits my personality. It is big, obnoxious, but mostly because I can afford it"
