Yes, it is. Have been on that "damn I wish those ******** up there would quit dropping those charges" end. Gives one a headache after a while, like water torture.

Went aboard a few attack subs at Pearl in the 60's, can't remember their names though. Loved the steaks and icecream.

Don't know why Ivan was sending subs into confined areas when the seas all around Britain and Ireland were loaded with

spy trawlers, We were obstructed by one on the way out of a river in N. Ireland, wouldn't move over until we pointed our big deck gun at his bridge and sounded the action stations hooter. Better get back to golf, nice to chat.

As a boy growing up, the first advice I got from my father was this: Never wear white tube socks with black shoes!

With regard to golf, the best advice I've ever received was this: Don't follow a bad shot with a bad decision.

If you follow these, not only will you play better golf, but you will not look so tacky, either.

Related to me this morning by one of my 80 year old plus regulars:

I used to be able to hit the ball a long way when I was younger, but I had a terrible slice. One time I played with an old timer that used to be a professional. He asked me how often I played golf. I said: "once or twice a week if I can." He said: "that's your problem; you only play part time. Your driver is a golf club 24/7; let it hit the ball!"
