Very sweet stuff in this thread!

I had copper ISIs in my bag off and on for years. Longest break from them was some Titleist 755s, also wonderful irons! Loved the ISIs, I could do anything with them, even though my career low came with a set of Eye 2s.

Since I’m an adaptive player now, I won’t realistically ever play them again. They will hit the BST and/or the Bay here soon as I look to de clutter my home office.

Reviving a dead thread because ISI BeNi’s are a-maze-ing. 🤌 Traditional lofts and pure feel….. with everything else that makes Ping special. Gamers for sure c

Wife will probably kill me but a set of BeNi ISI irons is in my future.

May have to sacrifice a set of steel Eye2 irons but I'll stumble upon a set of BeNi one day.

Side Bar... do the BeNi have the same risks as the BeCu irons? It's the Beryllium that is dangerous so when reshafting, mask up when heating the hosel, do it in a well ventilated area, etc.?

I don’t think the BeNi are dangerous to heat to reshaft.  Everything I’ve read about the dangers of BeNi or BeCu heads is the dust of grinding or refinishing by media blasting.

The 2-iron and lob wedge don’t match the rest of my set and are shafted with Dynamic Gold steel shafts.  I plan on reshafting with Ping X65 graphite once I can track down the proper donor clubs with said shaft.

Playing some solid mid summer golf with the BeNi’s right now. I may do a reshaft with PX5.5’s to add a bit of stability. I’m more than happy to make that spend on these irons. I’ve never played a set of iron heads with such great yardage consistency. I really prefer the traditional lofts, single material construction, thinner soles and the pure BeNi feel.
As much as I appreciate my G425 irons, I’m putting them away until the time comes that I need that extra club of distance. Right now though, laser 162 yard 7 irons with the ISI is perfect.

That’s funny.  I ditched my last set of ISI’s for a set of G425’s due to a car accident last August that messed up my shoulder.   I too am back to the ISI’s and am hitting them more consistently than my recent set of Wilson Staff CB’s.

Go find a set. Best move I’ve made in a long time in terms of equipment for my game. BeNi ISI is the real deal. I left todays range session (working on mid iron distance control) with a huge grin on my face. Piercing 5,6 and 7 iron ball flights all afternoon. So predictable.

Just added a BeCu ISI 4 iron back in the bag due to my 5h(taylormade rbz pro) acting up and wanting to go low long(like 5 ft off the ground and 240 yds) and way left ... first time i pulled the ISI out for that easy 190 shot to the green, dropped it (and stuck it) 5 ft from the pin...LOL not bad for a $2 thrift store find...

I think the exact same way. The offset on ISI just frames the ball perfectly in my eyes. Sits perfectly aligned when I set the club down.

Refuse to let this thread die off. BeNi 4-L still firmly in my bag. I’ll look at reshafting over the winter because….. WRX. But these heads are firmly in my Gamer bag. I’ve found nothing that I feel would be an improvement. I played a bonus 9 today (bonus because courses here in Western Alberta are about a week from closing) with another single who gamed Eye2’s. Great time chatting about our affinity for classic Ping irons.

Dynamic Gold, as old school as they are, feel fantastic in ISIs, just a reference point for you..... 🙂

One more believer… I was so inconsistent with my irons until I by chance got a $15 wedge to use as a gap wedge. Just silly easy to hit… so I bought some zing 2s.  Amazing… hitting greens by twice the %… even with the 115 gram stiff shaft. Sold my other new sets… now have a 2 thru SW2 becu ISI set with granite shafts coming as a back up set. Both cost me around $425 TOTAL…I got more in trade in for one new set, and will never go back to new.

Nothing other than an occasional wipe down with some gun oil. They naturally like to stay dark. I did a Coke test on the 7 iron once, it was real shiny but only lasted for about a week before it turned dark again. The BeNi’s are the complete opposite though, a light polish and they shine forever:)

Thanks for the info and I too like the darker look on the BECU irons.

I recently bought Left Handed BeCu Ping ISI irons with Z-Z65 shafts (3 - PW).  The weight off the toe with this design is a god send as I tend to miss towards the toe (never the heel).  These irons are amazing.

It was REALLY hard to find a decent set left handed.  Tons of Right Handed options, but slim pickings for Left Handed.

I just found a BeCu Lob Wedge this morning.  I can't find any SW, SW2 or SW3 options Left Handed (BeCu).

I would love to have a set in Nickel.

Growing up a kid learning to play in the 80's made me a fan of offset.  FG17's, then Eye2's and later Zing2's...today's clubs are awesome, but I miss the offset.  Found a set of BeCu ISI's with matching serial numbers 2-W for $300 and plan to have them forever!! 🙂
