What's the reasoning behind not being able to sell these shoes on BST?

Thanks for the replies. They are light grey. I guess Nike has a different color pallet than the rest of the world to call that color crimson.

Does anyone know...is this normal? I've already landed two nice pairs of golf shoes(TW15 and LC3). I'm tempted to pick up another just to set myself for many years to come. Do shoes like this typically hit the secondary stores every year?

 

About 4-5 yrs ago I found the TW08 black with burgundy trim at Marshalls. Couldnt believe it.

You really can't attempt to trade them here. Mods said they won't allow any BST listings with these shoes, so there is no way to list what you have.

 

Best you can do is list a WTB ad with what you want and hopefully someone from this thread will see it with something to trade.

 

It's a shame, a lot of us were trying to do each other favors but it is basically impossible here now. I just returned two pairs of TW15 since there is no way to pass them on unless there is a WTB ad.

 

It is a shame. It was one of the best threads that I can remember.

yup, looking at the sold ones on ebay going for $55. you're still breaking even there. 10% ebay fee, 3% paypal fee, at least $12 to ship. no money to be made on them now that the market is flooded with them being so cheap. maybe the OP could edit the post and explain to everyone to put out a WTB ad, then everyone that has them can sell them that way?

I completely agree. It was a thread that showed the great people we have here, I'm sure a lot of us made some new friends and I know it was nice to see people helping each other out vs the normal negativity that some people feel the need to shed in every post they make.

 

If anything, gwrx should have said, "become a charter member and well allow this discussion in the members area." They could have sold more memberships and we could have both supported the site and each other.

Not sure what a colorway is and the link just went to the home website. However I searched it for the LC 3's and mine are what they called silver/red and have the code someone listed above. It's just that they also called that red as crimson and the color is a shade or orange. Not a big deal. They also had a dark grey and orange but mine are the silver

Question for everyone on sizing. I normally wear a 12 in Nike or Footjoy. I found some 12's but my longest toe (second toe) was almost 3/4 inch from the end so I went with 11.5. Toes feel fine but they seem slightly tight on sides near the toe. If I pull the insole and use a flat foam insert then no problem. Has anyone else noticed the pervieved tightness and has anyone tried a shoe stretcher yet?

I changed insoles on the LC3s and now they're perfect. Went up 1/2 size per typical Nike sizing for me.

I wasn't even a seller, but I did make a purchase from someone. I mainly liked seeing the hauls from Ross's and BCF.

Yeah, this was a tough one for the mods. Pretty grey area since there were transactions taking place in the thread, that has always been a "no no" in anything outside of the BST. They have a thankless job and sometimes have to make decisions that may not be popular.

 

In this case they probably just didn't want to have every other thread in the BST listing LC3 and TW15. Would be pretty annoying for those that didn't want them.

 

Either way, wish there was a better way that we could have shared with everyone.

The LC3 (and LC2 for that matter) profile was designed by someone in the dark IMO. They are long and narrow (but narrow in a really odd spot). It a really weird shoe. I can wear either 8 or 8.5 in TW15. 8.5 in LC3 wouldn't even possibly work width wise. 8.5w LC3 is still too narrow. 9 in LC3 is way too long.

 

I ended up with 8.5 and 8.5w lc3 and I'm going to see if I can stretch them out. Really want to try them (ideally to wear as bad weather shoes).

 

I really want them to work, but may need to cut my losses and give up.

The LC3 are definitely weird sizes. I have worn FJ 8.5 for the past 15+ years. I wear Nike 9 in all my sneakers. I have a pair of TW13 in a 9 that are perfect.

The TW 15 fit a bit snug in 9 compared to the '13 but fit me fine. LC3 in 9 are really narrow, to the point where I have to wear super thin running socks and still get rub. LC3 8.5w fit perfectly.

Yes. I used a shoe stretcher and it worked out perfectly

I just love the tw 15. My only regret is I have new lunar control 4 and boa FJ dna 2.0...both sit as I prefer the tw 15 fit and feel.

My Local BCF is still restocking the LC3s. Was there last Friday and went last night, definitely a few new pairs there.
