Are all the Nike Golf items (shoes included) coming from Sports Authority closings? Like Ross's parent company buying the items for cheap?

The reason I ask is, once they sell what they bought, I assume the well will run dry?

I would assume that once they sell all they have, there will be no more to sell. Correct lol

Well I assume they'll still have Nike stuff in the future as these stores (marshals, Tj max, Ross, etc) always buy leftover stock in bulk from major retailers on the cheap. It's their business so expect it to continue...but I'm assuming it'll go back to older stuff and less desirable items which the retailers want to unload.

For instance, I wouldn't expect TW items or golf bags to trickle down in the future. But I'm sure the solid color polos and t shirts will still trickle down.

I read it. You're asking if when the shoes they purchased run out, will there then be any more to sell.

Or did you want to know if Ross will be selling TW15s forever?

I was asking if they were only getting them from Sports Authority. I literally asked it in the same post.

So Cal Ross are slim pickings. Only found one pair of TW 15's (sz 12) Really wanted a pair of those, I got myself two pairs of LC 10.5. Love them.

I was told that. Unsure how accurate that statement is

There are TW 15 in black, regular width in size 8, 9, and I think 10-11 at the Ross on 145 in Whitehall, PA.

Is anyone seeing any more grey, or mostly black at Ross now? I've only seen one pair of grey that I was able to hook up another member with.

I've seen one red at a BCF and all blacks at Ross. That's it.

Thanks for the greys!

Is there a website for Ross?? Can't find it anywhere

Yes

https://www.rossstores.com/

but it will not show inventory. Ross, Marshalls, TJ Maxx etc claim they keep lower prices by avoiding a web based inventory tool. They will not even tell you if another store has the same item. The website is basically good for store locations

They had nothing at the Ross St. Pete Tyrone Square location today.

I was at the Tyrone Ross yesterday and picked up a size 11 in the black TW15's. They had a few size 9's on the shelf and Lunar Controls in a 10 and 11.

this is the first i've ever seen ANY golf shoe at Ross or BCF. I wouldn't expect it and not sure the exact reason on why they did hit these stores. though i don't mind it. :) IDK if it was a drop in sales on these certain shoes or like some others posted about sports authority. But i dont think we'll ever know the exact reason on why they did. though Ross has had their fair share of Nike golf clothes like the pants, shorts and shirts. Now they carry some TW shirts too. it could be the norm since they're now coming out with all styles of Nike golf shoes (about 80% of them are ugly IMO) so only time will tell. Maybe come fall/winter we may see some new stuff pop-up there.

Does anyone know...is this normal? I've already landed two nice pairs of golf shoes(TW15 and LC3). I'm tempted to pick up another just to set myself for many years to come. Do shoes like this typically hit the secondary stores every year?

I thought I read somewhere in this thread that this was stock bought out from the closing of Sports Authority stores. I would assume that unless another big box retailer goes under, this is a one time deal.

And i thought I read in the original thread that it had something to do with Nike not selling as many golf shoes as anticipated and BCF/Ross were the only ones willing to purchase a large enough qty, or something along the like. I myself have myself set up for a while (have bought 5 pair of shoes since I saw the original thread).

What's the benefit of selling them to a store like Ross over liquidating them directly to the consumer? Surely if they sold them online for ~$40 they'd all be gone and Nike would make more money.

Also, anyone had luck in north Texas???

I imagine it has to do with decisions made by people making way more money than most of us. It might have been the easiest way to take a loss.

It is weird having them still on NDC for around $100 while Ross has them for $19-29

they probably figured why not leave them at $100+ online and see if people will still bite. i'm sure they're still getting orders on them no doubt. I'm also sure not everyone knows about the ross/bcf deals like we do! :taunt:
