Cheap ($20-$40) Nike Shoes+, Ross and Burlington Coat Factory, NO BST (WTS, WTB, WTT) ALLOWED

Recommended Posts

btw, check the entire shoe section when you go. lady at ross said they try to put them in their size section but they randomly make their way to other size sections. i'm pretty sure everyone is going through the whole store but just a heads up for anyone just checking for their size only. the size 9 i saw was in the size 12 section.

I found both of the size 13's I bought in the 9 and 9.5 sections

When someone pays $20 and the next day, some day for some, try selling for $50 or $60... Yes that's flipping

Sure it might not be a bunch of money.. But it's pretty obvious people bought them w the intention to flip.

Bulk is likely more irt the sheer 'random' number of Nike tw shoes.. Each in one of three colors

specifically the TW15's. $29.99 + tax + shipping (no less than $12) + paypal fee's (roughly $3-4). OK you may make some lunch money if you sell them for $50 or so but not enough to go out and buy a new driver. i posted this in the previous thread. you can price them for more but no one is going to pay with ebay getting flooded with them now and so many to choose from or many of the buyers caught onto where they're at.

You can't charge more because it's flipping. Must be driving all around town for free I guess

No one is going to pay for your expense of driving around looking at shoes. Just like factoring in price for packaging, wrapping, taping and delivering to post office usually isn't going to win any sympathy.

But at the same time, if someone wants someone to go buy a pair of shoes for them and that person makes a special trip, I see no problem if someone wanted to add a few bucks for gas. I'm lucky in that I have a Ross and a post office down the road from me. But for some, it may be a commute to do the favor for someone

so then pay $149 @ GG if you really want them. don't mind the folks who are selling them offering to help others who don't have them in their local stores.

Actually the did. They literally paid my expense to go look for them to find shoes for them.

Man, some people. I'll just go look for shoes for other people for free. Then buy them and package them and take them to the post office all for...free. God forbid you drop a few dollars to buy me a beer for the trouble.

That's the whole point. They're getting a deal for paying for that. If someone could've found me my size in what I wanted for the price I was charging I would've just bought it from them.

How do you want something for nothing?

And the post office does get sympathy. I'd rather pay $20 than to not wait in that hell hole that some people had to do to get these shoes to some people.

No no no cant do that. The rules have changed. You're not even allowed to pay for the trip. It's free all cost or nothing

I get that and I see asking a few more more on the special trips. But it's when you see the deal no deal for $20 then over a 100 markup the same day.. All saying They don't fit...

I see your side. But I just made a special trip for 2 folks.

Shoes are $32 after tax. Shipping medium flat rate is like $14. PayPal will be a few bucks. So you are about $50 at a minimum. I'll only do priority so I can use their box, tape and don't care where people live. I'm not dumpster diving for boxes to send parcel post third class or whatever.

I don't care to make a profit as I simply like to do good deeds...but $29.99 shoe for $50 is no profit. It's a 66% markup from list price but it's not a "profit". Don't get the two confused. If someone doesn't want to pay $50, I'm perfectly fine with that. Doesn't matter to me one bit

This.

I sold a few pairs in the last few weeks, most at $50 shipped, even a few at $45 shipped. There was no profit made, just felt good to find the deal and help some people out.

I'm curious as to where BCF and Ross get these shoes... To sell them for $30, they've got to be buying them <$20? TW15 are still 119.99 on Nike's website. What gives? I'm assuming these big name stores don't sell items that just fell off a truck?

I think the beef with "charging for the effort" is the guys that go out on their own looking for as many shoes as possible and then they were just listing every shoe, size, and color on the old thread that they bought. THOSE situations are what I feel is not 100% kosher. You were already planning on going in that instance, IMO. If someone specifically asks you if you could make a trip, that is different. Example: you make 1 trip to Ross and purchase 4 pair, but are building in a "trip charge" to each pair. You made 1 trip, not 4 trips. If you are just blindly going to stores to look for as many pair as you can find, you deserve to eat the travel cost IMO.

Funny story...I went back today to grab the 12 from the shelf to help a fellow member.

I approach the shoe section and there's a guy wearing a TW hat and wearing a TW nike polo. Obviously likes golf and TW products. Anyways, he's looking at the shoes and notices the TW shoe in size 12 and I was like..."uuh oh, no way this dude doesn't buy them".

In all fairness, I left him alone and let him decide whether he wanted them. (mean time, I bought another stupid pair of nike shorts because they were blue and matched the blue / white Lunar Commands I bought last week) .

Anyways, once he decided to not buy them, I picked them up. I'm wondering if that guy was a WRXer. Hmmmmmm

Nice swing work on tempo is all i would suggest for now . I will peak again later when I have more time.

I talked to the people at my ross and they said they get deliveries between tues-thurs. Mine just restocked Tuesday. I was there Friday and they got a ton of stuff. Picked up some nice stuff on clearance today.

The company I work for deals with the TJ Maxx/Marshalls chains. In my experiences, they are getting stuff for a couple dollars over cost. They are also ordering thousands of units.

The other part of that argument is the guy has to carry 5-6 pairs of shoe through store and then has to buy them. So his money is on hold. It's not a big deal for most people but paying $300-400 to hold shoes for other members isn't just a stroll in the park. I was on the hunt for two sizes one for me and one for my bro. I was only toting around 5-6 pairs and it was a PITA. For those that have never been to either of these stores it's not the most fun in the world to be at. Don't even get me started on the PO.

The funny thing is that I made more money on eBay than what I was selling them for here trying to hook people up. It's all good tho. As long as people on here are getting great shoes I'm all for it

BTW LC3s are by far the best shoes I've ever worn on the course

I was told that both stores bought them from the sports authority liquidation which is why they are trickling in. It would also explain why most of the TWs are wide. The only bad thing is that if your between a 9 or a 10 you're gonna have a tough time!

But you made the conscious decision to do that. You knew you could be holding on to the shoes for a while and your money is tied up. I agree, it's all kind of water under the bridge at this point bc it's a good deal even at $60 or whatever. Just trying to show another point of view.

I think I'm just not going to help anyone out on here anymore. It seems like it's more trouble than it's worth. They've made it so they can't be sold, that's fine, it's their site. Now we're being told we should be ashamed for selling a pair of $150 shoes for $5 more than what we got them for.

And a counterpoint is that some people did drive all over town multiple trips to get these shoes. I can't keep track of which shoe deserves a trip charge or not. The only reason I even bought all of them was because I knew there were a bunch of people in the previous thread running around town coming up empty handed. I thought that wasn't cool so I wanted to get them some shoes. I made some trips and didn't come out with any shoes. Are these guys obligated to pay my trip fee since I came up empty handed? Of course not!

In previous threads like this, I'd just go get all the 9.5s or 10.5s and I'd be out and not worry about anyone else. I only went hunting because two people on here shraedser (or whatever the hell his name is lol) and Tandaman hooked me up. I felt it was only right to help someone else out.
