Tiger was a world class cusser, and he brought more people to the game then ever before in this generation.
The other before him was a model citizen, Arnie. Times change, but awe inspiring talent and an impressive record are what draw people to the game.

I'm not sure a lot of husbands on his barnstorming tours agree with the term model citizen. He was known to run his pen dry in various housewives.

See kids...back then the superstars had the decency to only plow wives of guys they didn't know. Professionalism like that is lost on today's youth.

Nice to see some passion and disgust. Show you he cares. I can side with his point of view of chasing his goals and what he wants to achieve. He didn't sign up to grow the game or be the ambassador. Media and society can try to bestow that upon him but doesn't mean you have to accept it. He's got one small window in life to chase down the best of the game. When you have goals like that, you don't really care about what others think or what society wants you to do/be. There are some exceptions, but the best mostly put the blinders on and purposed their live to achieve goals. Tiger, Faldo, Norman, Hogan. Not the warmest, fuzziest guys.

You can see that once that part of their life was over, they opened up and let go. But when you are chasing down lofty goals and a couple hundred other guys trying to do the same every week, you tend to get selfish and focused. I don't have a problem with this. You may say that they get the live the life they live because of us, media, advertising... but the best ever who were driven by the goal of being the best could probably honestly cared less how much they make or who watched. i.e. Hogan, Nicklaus, Snead etc. You throw a couple clubs on the way to being the best ever... no one is going to remember that.
