Also seeing if she can find me a 10.5 Wide, vice D because Nike's tend to run a little narrow (these would be my 3rd Nike golf shoes) on me, so I think a little extra room in the forefoot and toe box will make these a dream.

I have both and never had a problem. Hadn't slipped or lost grip on wet or dry surfaces. Comfy as hell though.

Got my Vaporstorms and a pair of Hypershield rain pants for $225 out the door, plus 4.5% cashback from ebates. Ordered 1/2 size up because Nike's tend to fit pretty tight on me.

I'll say this. The Lunar Control's were the first pair of non-spiked shoes I've ever owned. I'll never buy a pair of spiked shoes again.

 

The lack of spikes make them infinitely more comfortable for me, with the lack of pressure points on the foot. No more worrying about changing the spikes when they're worn down. The traction of the sole is just as good, if not better, than a spiked shoe anyway.

I'll comment on comfort of the Vapors in a week or so but I agree 100% about spikeless shoes. Once you get a good pair... there's no going back to spikes, especially if you walk.

I can't say enough about how good the traction is on these. my friend slipped on a down hill slope with regular soft spikes (footjoy shoe similar to the vapor storm). The vapor storms I wore had zero slip. I've played in the lcv's with the same traction system as well and even though I have other pairs I haven't worn of various spiked shoes, this traction system is far superior.

 

as far as comfort - again as others have said, much more comfortable, no pressure points on the bottom of the foot where the spikes are...

Ok got my Vapor Storms... Man these things are sweet!! They are a touch long because I ordered a half size up (due to Nike shoes running a bit narrow for me) but other than that, love them. I'll probably just wear a little thicker of a sock and it'll be perfect. I wore them on carpet and I practically felt glued to the thing.
