I would definitely be interested, but it's difficult for me to plan even an hour ahead.

October 14/15 or 21/22 would work best for me (as of right now).

I'll suggest a two-ball individual scramble at Kennedy GC. It'll take 6 hours anyways, might as well have some fun. :D

I can't do either weekends. We're in Cali the first set of dates and I'm playing in a invitational club vs club the 2nd weekend. I'm probably good the weekends before if those are options.

I'm playing Pole Creek tomorrow. Anything I should know about that course? We are playing all 27 holes

Didn't even know it existed. Now on the "must-play because of the views" list.

Looking at their site reminds me how badly I just want to make a business prettying up/adding functionality to all the courses in the area's sites. SO MANY of them are abysmal to look at and use.

Pole Creek was a blast. The views were pretty amazing on some of the holes.

All three of the nines have a little different feel to them. The Ridge is by far the best. Lots of elevation change. Meadow was enjoyable and picturesque. Ranch was my least favorite but still worth playing. Pace of play was great. Only had to wait twice in 27 holes. Was a pricey day but well worth it!

I'm playing Grand Elk and then hopefully Pole Creek on Friday...first time playing both. Can't wait! I'm probably most excited about the golf boards at Grand Elk...here's to hoping I don't injure myself :swoon2:

I love Grand Elk. Views are amazing for both courses but I really love the views in the valley. Grand Elk is designed by Craig Stadler. I think it is his only course design. A lot of holes require accurate tee shots versus distance, especially on the back. Enjoy!

This would be a lot of fun. My Ryder Cup is 10/7-10/8, so I'm free after that for as long as we have good weather

The eclipse was an amazing experience. The drive home, not so much--12 BLEEPIN' HOURS! Still worth it.

You should have come to western Nebraska. We had a viewing party at the course and I would have treated you to a round of golf after And you probably wouldn't have gotten home any later. I've seen some of the traffic photos. Wow.

Yes we should definitely put one together. Maybe a blind-draw 2 man best ball or scramble.

Any weekend in October past the first one is good for me.

Do a poll or something of some weekends, let's find a sweet track and get it going!

Yeah, I heard the traffic to/from Nebraska was a breeze compared to Wyoming. To Casper's credit, they ran an awesome weekend. The city park was converted into campsites, so you had easy access to public restrooms (and just a few dollars for a shower). They also had plenty of porta-potties, which were emptied and cleaned every morning. The city itself had lots of activities as well as free shuttles everywhere.

Drove by the Casper Muni. Looked like a nice course and in great shape.

Love the idea of a mini CO wrx outing! The only day that works for me of those weekends thrown out would be the 15th for me. I'm heading out to Newport Beach the following weekend and considering doing a lesson with Monte, maybe playing lesson, while I'm out there since he's right there.

Photo of I25 at Cheyenne where it intersects with I80. Maybe you're in one of the cars in the photo!?

Here they had our amphitheater and soccer complexes set up for people. I guess it went pretty well.

Will you let a soon to be Colorado WRXer in on the outing? Hopefully by the end of the year for us.

My wife had a new doctor starting in her office Monday morning. He flew into Denver Sunday night and drove to Fort Collins and spent the night there. Left FC at 4:00 am and arrived here at 10:30 am. About 130 miles. Normally takes us just a touch over two hours (we're old, have to have a bathroom break in Cheyenne).

Shouldn't it allow for multiple votes?

I debated that, but I was hoping folks would just pick the absolute best weekend for them. I didn't want the numbers to be skewed by second choices...though I could see merit in allowing another vote for a second choice. It's been updated to allow multiple votes.

I'm definitely in for a fall CoWRX outing. I'm usually good for playing one day of any given weekend, so probably any would work for me.

I voted for 10/7-8 and 10/21-22. My wife is out of town visiting her mom the first weekend and gone on a trip with some friends the second of those weekends. If we plan this when I've got bachelor weekend, I'm good for driving anywhere/anytime/one day or two/18 or 36...

So it's official. My lower back has revolted. I'm joining the old guys club; just ordered a ClicGear on Amazon. The last two weekends hoofing it around Green Valley Ranch and Murphy Creek, I've had to admit that my 35 y/o with a full time desk job self just doesn't need to be carrying a golf bag for 5-6 miles at a time.

I really enjoy walking golf courses. I absolutely prefer walking to riding in a cart as long as the course is set up to be possible... but something had to give.

Let the ridicule begin! :-)

Um, there is absolutely no shame in joining the push cart mafia. I only wish I had done it sooner!

We went north of Lisco, no clouds or traffic, most amazing thing I've ever witnessed.

What do we want for price point? It seems like GVR and Murphy have been popular on here. I'm down for whatever, most of those weekends should work.

Anything the group decides on is good. I know we've got a lot of knowledge of local courses. And for me, $50ish is a sweet spot. Justifies food/drinks afterwards too.

It was good to see you play so consistently, even if your putting wasn't making you very happy. I can't remember a single hole where you truly found trouble. I think I said on the walk from 15 to 16 that you were putting together a quietly consistent (and good) round. Sounds like you did. You did a lot of things really right, but you're still getting used to the putter. Once those start falling...look out!

Glad we could get out. We'll have to do it again sometime. And we should set a goal this fall of getting as many of us out as we can. A little CO WRX-stravaganza, if you will. Everyone I've had the pleasure of playing with on here are great dudes.

Thanks. It was one of my more consistent rounds in a while. Usually putting is where I save strokes. Funny how it seems one part of your game is not at it's best when the others are.

I'll definitely be in, depending if I'm free when others are. Gotta chat with the wife to see when we plan to make our trip to Texas in October.

You outlasted me, my man. Think I made the switch when I turned 30. I think you'll appreciate it after your first 18. I didn't get much flak being the first of my golf buddies to get one. Three of them actually got one shortly after I did. Although, there is this one gal I golf with who calls it my stroller...

Yeah man, no shame. I picked up a cart a couple years ago. My Chiro didn't hesitate to tell me carrying isn't good for me and to push instead. Ironically it uses 99% of the same amount of calories anyway, it just doesn't put all that pressure on your back at the same time.

Any price point is fine for me. With most of you guys being south I would travel down there for it. I don't really have suggestions for south-side courses, I haven't played many. GVR and Murphy seem fine. My favorite on the south side is Raccoon so far.

I was going to get a 3.5 last winter and never did. Entering the season I figured I wouldn't bother since Louise was due in May, so I haven't bit the bullet yet. It's either a cart or a more lightweight bag as my next purchase.
