I just got the OT-Is, will hit them tomorrow for the first time. Initially I wanted to wait until MRC releases the 110 shown above, but I could not wait until next summer.

Hopefully these will be available in .355 taper tip, although I still love my Aldila RIP Tours, some of the best shafts I have ever played.I wanted to give the old OT version a try to see how they stacked up against my Aldila's but just didn't feel like sanding down parallel shafts.

these do look awesome, im curious about your Aldila RIP Tour shaft experience. I see you hard stepped a Reggie, if you were to hit a steel shaft what would it be and what flex as I hear the RIP Tours are stiff to flex?

Oh boy, a hybrid option - I put the OTi 95 iron shaft in my hybrids last year - it was good but lacked feel. I would certainly love to try this new version in my Apex hybrids!

 

I'd give the 120's a go in my irons as well!

Ha I bought the OT shaft in my Z U65. Awesome shaft. Other than weight, I'd love to know the difference. I know the weaved carbon fibre tech is the same.

I have sent an email last November to MRC and the lady who replied stated that these will be released in early summer. Hence I bought the current OT-Is. It seems that this was a mistake....

same Technology, same concept --- the new ones are Taper Tip, dedicated sets. The current are "cut to length" series. Cant go wrong either way!

Thats spectacular news. As I mentioned previously, I put an OTi in a few hybrids last year and it was really good in a higher lofted 24* hybrid but lacked feel in a 19*. Very accurate however. That said, I'd love to get my hands on a hybrid version and possibly the 120g iron sets!

Thank you. So happened that I had a chat with Nakashima-San from MRC Tokyo earlier and he explained a great deal about this shaft and some of the upcoming models. Very interesting indeed and exciting, can't wait for them to actually come out...

Well the last steel shaft I played with any regularity were the TT Black Gold in Regular flex hardstepped once as the stiffs just seemed a little too stiff for me. I also tried the Nippon Modus 120 Stiffs and they felt amazing, I just wasn't getting the distance I was or am getting with the RIP Tours. Also the Nippon shafts seemed a little to high flight for my liking.
