I think it's supposed to be a gopher, but anyway we were told we couldn't use the other logo and this is what Darth, PapaJ, and I came up with.

First round done yesterday.

 

Not to bad considering where I was playing haha. Never played it before. No knowledge what so ever. Just th to get around the course baha.

 

The good: I hit every damn fairway.... not sure how I pulled that off since driving is the worst part of my game. Although over all my swing was feeling really good for the most part. I almost aced the par 3 3rd haha. Literally rolled over the cup after coming back down the slope. So excited that I missed the birdie putt from 3 feet..... haha doh.

 

The bad: I'm a good putter.... I absolutely sucked yesterday. only made one putt that wasn't essentially a tap in. I also couldn't get a feel for shots 100 and In which again I'm usually pretty decent at. Frustrating. But again, I do feel it was because I don't know the greens and tobacco roads green complexes are crazy. Very awesome but crazy. Hard to see all the breaks. If I hit my average number of putts I break 90 and shoot mid 80s haha. Isn't that what golf is all about though? What ifs that keep us coming back.

Speaking of almost Ace's In one of the 3 shots I hit solid in my aborted round. That is my ball mark on the stick. ForeLife and everyone thought it was going in and all you hear is the loud crack of the ball hitting the stick. Actually got a bit lucky on the bounce since it was a front right pin and there is a lake short it very easily could have gone from a hit the stick to in the lake type shot. instead I ended up about 10 feet away putting across the slope and missed the birdie. I have spent 20+ years as a mid to low single digit and still dont have an ace but I have so many stories just like this one :angry22: :angry22: :angry22:

Just entered in my first round of 2017, as the Trial event one tourney :)

I've already tied my most birdies in a round from 2016, of 4... following 3 of them up with double-bogies! I know how to kill big daddy mo, before he even gets rolling.

I know the feeling, my driver for the 2nd round in a row has been MIA, and it's killing me. :(

I'm going to post all my scores (to help get an accurate index and also have it match my GHIN index) and I'd assume we all should to have accurate handys to base things off of.

 

For the 'tour' there are specific events selectable from the drop down list on the top right when you go to enter a score. Those are the ones we'll use to gloat, commiserate, take the piss out of each other ;)

 

When you go to post a score, you'll see what I'm talking about.

I've shot worse these last 2 rounds then I have in 4 years. Besides putting which is my strong point, it looks like I've never played before. :(

Hahahahaha Eddie is just sandbagging.... I see the low round of 79. Taking the handincap up for now until the time is right and boom shoots 80 for a net 57 :)

Lol, I wish I was sandbagging. I've played 2x in the last 2 weeks but before that was a 14 week layoff, so that's the only thing I can think is the reason. If my scores don't get back to mid/upper 80's I'm gonna start throwing stuff. ;)

Hopefully Ill give golf another go this weekend. I need to get those Tp5x tested for the review thread. Range session planned for Sat. I picked up a few things to try and fix from reviewing a swing video so hopefully it goes well and I can give Fore_Life a run for his money this Sunday.

Thanks guys. 28 is eh hahaha. Shot a 90 even though I drank a good bit so hey not bad. Now eatin sushi and having drinks with the wife and kids (they have lemonade). It's a nice day.
