Well I posted round 1 of the March event. Swing is still way way off, but at least Im finding center face. Iron distance was not the issue the giant power fade when I was playing for a straight shot and a straight shot when I played for the fade killed me. Plus lost about 4-5 strokes with poor tee balls incl 1 ob

Every time I line up for a power fade, I'll hit a pull hook.

The worst thing about starting out logging stats on Grint after a lay off, is all the embarrassing "best" totals.

5 Pars in a round! Woo-hoo! Where's my tour card?! ;)

OK fellas, I have updated the rules/guidelines.

Big changes:

Two events per month (one round each)- This will make it easier for us to track actually scores as currently the two rounds are being totaled for the event (duh haha). This will allow us to drop high scores more effectively.

9 hole rounds.... I have gone back and forth on this haha. SOoooo this hopefully will be the last change. I have left it a little loose to be fair to yall who asked for the 9 hole rounds, but needed to find a way to keep it fair for the ones who don't want or need the 9 holes. you can only post one combined 9 hole rounds for an event per month. the other round of the month must be 18. I don't think it is unreasonable to ask that yall get out for at least one 18 hole round a month. Biggest reasoning is that playing 18 holes at once is different than two random 9s. Trying to keep it fair for people.

Jacot and I have been working on best ways to input these combined 9 rounds. I think he has the best way to do it. It would require you to only keep score on the card at the course, and then upload later on the computer on the grint website once you have done both 9 holes.

Forever Changing at this point.......

To post combined 9 hole rounds.

1. Log onto the Grint online (not phone app)

2. Click scores tab/link up top

3. Click Add Score in the Top Right Corner

4. Click Combined 9 hole score option

5. Now choose courses and 9s you played for each score card

6. Be sure to click on Club event from the Drop down menu

7. Fill Out Score card with scores and stats

8. Click Club Tournament Score (above submit button)

9. Submit score

10. Upload Score cards pictures

LOL!

I texted a buddy this morning and asked if he wanted to tee off at 7:30 since it was supposed to warm up to 22* by then; his response was: "You'd have to be insane to do that". Then I reminded him of the time we went to Fox. Hollow when we teed off it was 65* and partly cloudy by #12 it was 30* and spitting snow. When we finished it was 25* and ice hanging off the top of the cart; at least we had some snakebite medicine to warm us up!

Wow..........I feel for you guys.

We've had a very mild winter this year in TX; hard core golfers could have played just about every day.

It's an early Spring........golf courses are starting to green up nicely now. No late freezes please!!

93 95 94 93 forecast highs for the next few days,.

Too soon too soon. Don't want to turn the A/C on yet. Made it all winter without turning the heater on.

I'm gonna try and get round 2 in this weekend. One of our golf buddies daughter is currently -3 at the LPGA Founders Cup so gonna try and get out there one day for that.

Have a 1 hour lesson scheduled for next Sat to try and get my swing sorted out and prob won't play after the lesson. So they only leaves this weekend to get my 2nd March round in.

Round 2 entered. Iron game getting better more than doubled gir from round 1. Left driver in bag. 8 3 woods 4 hybrid and driver twice was tee shot selection. 3 deep was getting me 240-260 so wasn't losing much and it was in play. Putter went ice cold

I am heavily considering bagging my driver for the moment, and going with my 5W off the tee. I've been noticeably straighter, with the same distance. I know it's just a matter of me working out the kinks with a new driver, but I don't want to work those kinks out in the middle of a round.
