Great scores this month gentlemen. Glad to see more and more people getting out. This month was frustrating for me haha but should be getting better. In June, I may fall way down on the points list as I am going to use my tournament rounds at Kiawah using the ocean course and probably oak point or osprey. Three pretty demanding courses haha.

 

As I plan on playing more competitively this year in club events here in Charleston, I think putting "pressure" on myself at these harder courses will allow me to play better in these comps later this year.

I mean in reality, the slope will take care it. The course I typically play is like 124 or so and my course HC is a 15. On the ocean course I think my course HC will be along the lines of 17-19. Apparently I should only be hitting within 5 or so strokes of my normal score hahahah. I play the ocean course every year and have yet to break 100. Close last year. Really close. Hit 100 even haha.

I'll be posting round two in a little bit. Game is getting closer driver is still a bit wonky but at least it's going further now and the miss is consistent. Actually having to re adjust my aim further right because it's not curving as much.

Played today, thought about scoring it as an event round but decided to hold off since I opened my summer campsite and can play my regular course next week. Almost regretted it as I was playing several strokes below my cap, until a complete meltdown on 16, 17, and 18 ruined my score.

Have been picking the last weekend of the month to use as my tourney rounds, seemingly one decent round and one a bit meh.

Played a scramble in St. Pete last week for the Mariners Club. Could not hit an iron to save my life, seriously, not one swing. Think I had the sways.. I get those sometimes. Eric the Lawyer cowboyed up though,, Crazy dude, JPX900s, Beat up Newport without so much as a head cover, playing Srixon balls and had never heard of this place. Odd but I like him, the lawyer stuff not withstanding. Luckily the Krank F-5 driver was smoking long cuts with the Ksigs Deeeeep down the fairway and the new Betti putter decided to start dropping 12 footers or I would have been kicked to the curb pretty fast. It was hotter than two dogs F'ing and I started pounding beers way too late to save the round. Still better than actually working on a Wednesday. :) Ill drag Boo out this weekend and play some real golf.

Hahaha very wrxer. No time this month but as soon as that kid hits a month old it's smooth sailing ;). Haha just messing with ya bud. Congrats! If it's your first then realize it's going to be hard but it's the best thing you will ever do with your life.

I agree, it was about 4-6 months before I played after my first born. However, I think I was driving my wife crazy b/c for xmas should bought me a round of golf to get me out of the house. Little did she know about my suppressed golf addiction.

oh for sure. if you play the crazy game it helps hahaha

 

but for me. even with 2, my playing didn't go down too much. I have certain mornings off a week so my wife would give me the go ahead to play (she's awesome and I couldn't love that woman more haha). I played and I still usually get out about once a week or at least every other. I go super early on my morning off on thursday around 7-730 and would get home by the first nap time around 930-1030 depending on pace.

 

Just be there to help when you can and when SHE needs it. She probably wont tell/ask you (and if she does you're already not doing enough and in hot water hahaha) that she needs comfort/help, but obviously try to get ahead of the curve and do whatever it is that you think she would want done around the house.

 

ok ill get off the preaching/coaching. I'm sure youve heard it all before haha. doesn't matter anyways. everyone deals with it/learns a little differently

Hey guys,

 

I want to thank you for being a part of this. We have completed 2 successful months of play. I would like to ask that people who are in the tour/club please try and post rounds. I understand that the past two months have been iffy weather wise, but I think most of the country if not all of it can play this month, so please get out there and join the fun :) Those who do not post at least eight rounds by the end of our season (last month is October) won't be eligible for the end of the year awards (have not idea what it could be, but I am going to cook up something) haha.

 

Again thanks everyone. I also need you all to check and see if your club is still listed as the WRX Web tour. if it is not please PM me. We have had a few drop for some reason.

Mine is the highest it has been since I had two new hips put in and nearly at a 10 year high. Had a good run towards the end of summer 3 out of 4 rounds at even a couple vaca rounds on courses with ratings way higher than they should be. All those are dropping out of my last 20 right now. Playing some suspect golf since January has not helped either.

Co-worker talked me into going over to play at The Hermitage (Generals Retreat) yesterday afternoon. Loved the course, but pace of play was horrendous; front 9 took about an 1 hour and 45 minutes which wasn't too bad. Back 9 took over 3 hours :( Needless to say I played AWFUL.
