I think they do; with the limited, invite-only, field of the Masters, it's pretty hard to come up with a real "dark horse". Apart from the ams, there aren't really many dark horses in the Masters. Plus, the condition was "not won a major in the last 5 years" so JT and Hideki both qualify on that count.

I was actually going to go with Alex Noren, but then I looked at his recent form and it's not that great. Plus, he's something like 11th in the OGWR, so again, not really a darkhorse.

I think the biggest darkhorse this year could be last year's champ!

My dark horse is Adam Hadwin. Anyone who can putt like that is going to have an advantage on those greens. He had been pretty steady this year. Wouldn't surprise me one bit to see him in contention on Sunday.

As much as I personally do not favor him, it is hard to discount Bubba Watson as a dark horse.

 

As for favorite? I think Spieth reallt wants to rectify his collapse.
