I am a sucker for trying out soft golf balls, love the feel of them. I have tried pretty much every variant of urethane cover golf balls because I really prefer to play a urethane cover because of greenside control. The Q-Star sounds right up my alley, even though I am a fast swing speed player I find the soft feel of a golf ball helps me tremendously around the green and confidence in hitting my shots with more feel. Pair that combination with a urethane cover it could be perfect for me.

Ball: Q Star or NXT Tour S

 

I always seemed to score better with the Q Star even though the NxT felt more explosive off the club - the Q would go just as far. I'm proud of my short game and a urethane cover only enhances that - getting it for the price point of the QStar Tour would be great.

I used the 2016 Z-STAR and really liked the spin it gave me around the greens but felt like the ball was too hard for my liking and wanted to use a lower compression ball given that I'm not a typical fast swinger. My drives are usually anywhere between 200-225 yards.

I used to use Srixon XV but after couple injuries my club head speed is no longer around 108! Swinging 96-102 these days and would love to have a softer ball with better feel than Chrome soft.
