P790 UDI's - Any news on these vs the full set p790s?

Watch ebay. They have been running a coupon for spring every couple days thats either 15 or 20 off everything. yesterday was 15 and I found a seller offering the UDI. I paid 186 with the Project X shaft option. I got a confirmation email from taylormade a couple hours later and this morning another email with my arrival date for 4.3

I was fitted for P790 irons today in the UK. The TM fitter here told me i'd be able to order a 2 UDI before the end of the month and that it would be available with the KBS Tour 90g shaft for which I was fitted.

Got mine coming with a project x steel shaft paid 138$ out the door with that ebay coupon direct from taylormade yesterday. The shaft options were horrible so I planned on putting a kbs Proto or tour ad in it anyways. Taylormade sent me my confirmation this am

I was thinking the same thing that has to be unreal. Until TMAG emailed me this morning. I’m playing with the m2 lift 2 iron with a kbs proto 95x so even if I don’t like the p790 I can always get my money back for sure

What's with the hate on the stock shaft option?

 

The TP UDI I have has it's standard KBS Tour in it, and I'm not a huge fan. I feel like the semi-lightweight graphite option that comes stock in this will actually work out really well for my swing. Just slightly heavier than my 3 Hybrid, but not as heavy as my long irons.

I am surprised that the KBS Proto shaft is not the standard shaft in this. When we were out for the forged trip, several of the TM guys had that shaft in the M2 LIFT and it def performed better than the Project X shaft.

It’s hands down a better shaft in the LIFT. I’ll prob be putting the same thing in my udi here in a week
