They have Recoil options for both irons and hybrids so as long as this is customizable you should be able to get that.

 

I would really like this thing with an AD-DI 95 or 105 but I think they only offer the 85 in their hybrid shafts. We'll see.

FWIW I started with the .355 AD-DI 95X Driving iron shaft but it was a half inch too short as I'm 6'4" and have to play my irons an inch over. The driving iron shaft is only 39" raw so it plays at a max of 40". So I had the hosel bored out to accommodate a .370 hybrid shaft which also allowed me to switch to the AD-DI 105X. WillPGA did the work. Ships back to me tomorrow. Can't wait to hit it.

Let me know how it works for you. I had the AD DI 95X Driving Iron shaft in my Titleist TMB and, just like you, it was a little short. I also am 6'4" and play my irons 1" over standard. I have a Nike Vapor Fly Pro 2 Iron head I'm sitting on that I was going to shaft up but I'm waiting to see what the options are on the UDI.

Weird, doesn't the UDI have a slimmer top line and less offset? I feel like being a + handicap, that'd suit your eye better.

In his defense that is a Handcrafted Hzrdus 105gr shaft - considerable upcharge and upgrade from the retail Hzrdus 85 coming in the P790 UDI.

Yes it does to both of those - it just didn't do it for me. I looked down @ P790 3i and had zero hesitation that I could hit any shot I want. Looking down @ P790 UDI there isn't a glaringly noticeable difference, I just didn't feel as confident.

 

Realistically, the performance/distance being equal with the 3i having a steeper angle of descent was the decision maker for me. I'm not someone who counts on rollout to get distance, so knowing I could stuff a 3i from 245 out and also hit it off the tee was the selling point.

Great post. I got obsessed with the rocket launcher 2-irons and realized the same, 3-iron was usually more useful/playable.

 

My X UT is 18* but it launches plenty and can see use on long par 3s at times. However it is made primarily for tee ball nukes. My 3-irons are the workhorses
