P790 UDI's - Any news on these vs the full set p790s?

Just emailed TM, I was pretty impressed bc they responded in less than 5 minutes (on a Sunday!). This is what they had to say.

 

 

"Thanks for the note. For now, the UDI is tour only, but the good news is, it’ll be available early in Q2 — I don’t have a specific date just yet. It will only come in a 17° #2 when it is released, too.

I was able to snatch one up and will be putting a Tour AD DI 95X driving iron shaft in it at some point this week. My 3 iron hasn't been delivered yet(expecting this week) so I will take some comparison pics when I have both in hand. Just putting a shaft in it without a ferule I will say it appears to have a significant amount more offset than my MP18 Fli-Hi did. So I wouldn't call it low offset exactly but it does look like a fairly thin top line. I'll get some pics up once I have everything built up. Stand by.

Might just be eyes playing tricks. Even the regular p790 3i has 3.9mm vs fli hi 3i at 3.6mm

 

Hosel transition and headshape can make that hard to distinguish though

How easy/hard will this be to hit off the deck? In rough? It'll most likely be replacing a hybrid in my bag, and mostly used off the tee...but would be nice to have the option to hit it from the fairway on long approaches/par 5's if need be.
