Not ideal, but if you want it sooner than later order from eBay for 160 and buy a 105 somewhere. That’s what I’m doing.

The shaft options aren’t great but if you get it then you can swap in anything you’d like. I just happen to already have a 105 black so that’s what’s going to go in mine if I like the feel of the 790 over the tp udi

Guys I gotta give a lot of credit to Taylormade, ordered with KBS C-taper X this morning because with steel it sells for $160!!! $100 cheaper than the x-forged utility, that's some impressive savings. I was pretty shocked by that and made me go for it right away. I'm thinking a good upgrade from my 712u with the same shaft.

Really tempted to pick up one of these from ebay with the coupon to try, but don't know if I have the swing speed. Am I just going to hit crazy low bullets if I don't have a driver swing speed over 105 ?

I mean, the flight of the ball isn't just about swing speed. I average 99-100mph with the driver, but I have a very very high ball flight. Ball position in stance, club face, angle of attack, etc etc all factor in to how high the ball travels. I never hit a "low bullet" with any club, regardless of having a pretty moderate swing speed.

I have the TP UDI from a couple years ago, and the smoother the swing I put on it the more the club helps (for me). I have a 3 for off the tee and a 4 that is unbelievable off the fairway. It has a nice pop feel when you smooth it. Things launch rockets.

That's what I'm wondering, I've got them in my P790's 4-AW but not sure if I would need something lighter in UDI, hell I've never even hit any driving iron before so I have no clue what weight would be appropriate.

Picked one up with the ebay code and got 1 degree flat and +1.5 degrees loft with Hzrdus 6.0

 

Also slipped in an M3 3HL with Tensei Pro white with the order/discount.... could be a top of bag overhaul or BST sale in about two weeks.....

BTW, transaction was totally legit, messaged the seller for custom specs and communication on exactly what I wanted was great. Just got my confirmation order email from Taylormade and the specs are exactly what I asked for. Now, hopefully they build them correctly....

All specs i order are spot on, the lie (1.5 deg up) , loft (1 deg strong), length (.50 over standard) and D2 swing weight. I am beginning to love Taylormade. :)
