How are Podcast listens shown to GolfWRX higher ups for analytics? I just want to make sure every time my phone automatically downloads the 19th hole before I can stop or delete it doesn’t count it as a listen.

Pretty sure they can’t tell the difference between one second of a listen and listening to the entire thing

I get the 19th hole comments but want to chime and say that Michael Williams is a VERY knowledgeable journeyman, host and interviewer.

The show just needs retooled and I hope it does.

What’s bad are the No Layup podcasts where Solomon fellates guests on air. I delete any of their podcasts that isn’t about golf travel.

 

If you think the NLU podcasts are bad, I'd hate to hear your opinion about the Gear Dive.

 

It has to be something seriously interesting fo me to listen to that podcast. Between the awful production quality and Johnny Wonder insisting he's not "stroking" someone and stumbling his way through interviews trying to recount facts that should be easy to create notes on, it's pretty much a pass 95% of the time.

 

Shane Bacon will get on his knees and go down on a guest just as quick as Solomon.

 

That's why I appreciate TG2 so much, it's just a couple of regular guys talking golf. They don't try hard to sound cool like No Lay Up and don't sound like a ****** bag like Shane Bacon.

Interesting. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if they do have access to this information because it’s pretty valuable from a marketing perspective.

Yeah, sorry about that! We fixed it first thing this morning and got it reloaded, but I am not sure on how fast it updates to iTunes and all the other channels.

I listened to it this morning and it sounded fine to me. I didn’t get a chance to listen to it right when it was posted to iTunes so I don’t have anything to compare it to. Anyways, I loved the episode! NLG has some great irons and wedges. I’m in the process of working with Eric to get a set built for me. I’m really looking forward to hitting the 4995 HB

I’m more than confident that Knudson will be able to continue the success of both TG2 and Monday’s off. When he filled in for Tursky on Monday’s off, which was pretty recently, the episode was great!

Knudson i've got to pick your brain now on single-length irons after that Mike Schy interview, so entertaining and so informative, has me rethinking a lot.

 

Have you done any testing on that no swingweight theory? he really does raise a fairly good point... He does that many times and i needed time to stop and think about it all hahaha

 

Second is where you went with shafts on single-length, he had again, fascinating things to say about that, sounds like a 7 iron shaft in everything is the way to go?

@Johnny. Great Gear Dive episode yesterday with StrokesGained! I love seeing all these small custom shops popping up. It’s also pretty cool to see that a fellow SCAD alum is making some pretty narly putters. I def plan on giving them a call and getting a project in the works.

I listened to The Gear Dive with SGC and the sound seemed pretty decent. Let me know what was wrong there and I will let him know. I know we had some audio issues with TG2, and we are working on getting that squared away.

Knudson. Sound with SGC actually was really good for me this time around. I know it can be tough with call in guests cause it’s so dependent on how they speak into their phone. Your interview with Cobra was great but the sound was horrible, which I’m sure is what you’re talking about.
