Most comfortable golf shoes?

Middler

Recommended Posts

I've got two pair of Skechers that I'm loving, but I also like a classic look from time to time. My FJ Classics are on their last leg. Is there anything that fits both the "comfortable as hell to walk in" and "looks timeless" categories?

Thanks.

I have FJ Contours and I am pleased with them, good value, but I was wondering if there’s a more comfortable spiked golf shoe. I thought the Adidas Tour 360 Boost 2.0 was it, but they immediately rubbed my heel/ankle wrong. So I’m considering Puma TITANTOUR IGNITE or IGNITE PWRADAPT or Skechers GoGolf Pro V3’s.

My Ecco Biom GTX 2 are the most comfortable golf shoes I have ever had on my feet and I have peripheral neuropathy.

All 4 of my current golf shoes are Ecco - love them all!!

Similar....all 3 of my current are Ecco. Been wearing their biom models since 2013, I’ve found nothing more comfortable year after year.

ZERO TIE GOLF SHOES ARE THE MOST COMFORTABLE GOLF SHOES I HAVE WORN , THEY ARE A HANDS FREE SHOE . NO TYING INVOLVED. WEBSITE WITH VIDEO ON SHOES @www.zerotie.com

How is the fit on these? I have a bit wider feet.

they are running 40% off, so the Backswing models are only $95.. The Blucher Classic in bone looks pretty good, so does the white in the moc toe

The Puma BioDrive spikeless is the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. Shoe, not just golf shoe, but shoes.

bought a pair (from walmart.com no less, lol). fantastic right out of the box. at present cost ($54 shipped), i immediately bought 2 more pairs. much preferred the non-leather version.

i didn't try the ecco biom hybrids that warrick recommends (yet) but they are on the list.

i am a size 10.5 in most nikes (e.g. premiere) and the biodrive's fit perfect.

no idea what i am going to do with all these golf shoes. it's a nice problem to have. :)

I haven't bought Footjoy in over 10 years. Anyone know how the Footjoy Originals are for walking? Or just your impressions in general?

Agree. Thought it was a half size too big but no issues. Great on the course also. I wore it all day at work and never noticed the shoes!

What are your thoughts on Low profile shoes vs. "taller"/ more built up shoes?

I have been playing in FJ Icons and G/Fore's (LP's), but thinking about trying the Adidas Tour 360 2.0's.

Can't play in most spikeless, the G/Fore's were a nice surprise for traction on a molded sole but are a pain in the butt playing in the rain/damp conditions bc they clog so easily.

Hadn't played a spikeless until the G/Fore/s and still prefer "spiked" shoes.

  • 2 weeks later...

Royal Albartross from London are more expensive ($250-$300) but are handmade by Italian shoemakers built on a Virbram spikeless sole. Can wear them for golf or going out. David Leadbetter has these for his entire teaching team. It would be hard to imagine anything more comfortable. There is no break-in period.

You really have to try them on for yourself - we're all different anatomically. What doesn't work for another, may be ideal for your foot/physiology.

I was determined to buy Adidas Tour 360 2.0's, but I tried them on more than once and they just hit my ankle bone (fibula and malleolus?) wrong, immediate noticeable rubbing. They might have broken in and been fine but I wasn't going to spend $200 to find out. I've tried on Skechers, Puma, Ecco, Adidas, and of course FJ. I bought FJ Contours last May, and just bought FJ Dryjoys Tour's a few weeks ago - for whatever reason they both fit right and I can walk 18 in either with no issues at all.

And I'm not comfortable with spikeless yet either, has to be spiked for me.

I vote for Trues..I bought a pair of the original Trues several years ago, but only wore them a few times because of the looks and because the heel is considerably lower. I took them out recently because I was playing bad and needed a change of luck, and they were great. They are back in the rotation. The next pair of golf shoes I buy will probably be the new version of Trues, now called the "Original". They have a little less of a negative heel than mine. But for comfort, those old ones are really nice.

Made my first purchase of 2 pairs of Sketchers based on the comments of many WRX'ers. Pair 1 came yesterday and I tried them on. I ordered my regular size but these seems a bit tight at the toe, as in they were too small. Is this normal?

I foresee you in commercial with Kuch sometime soon DP! Kuchar will say “ I’m feeling another 18 DP”, and DP will say “my feet feel another 18 Kuch , but I’m all out of Ksigs”!

Maybe Kuch and I can go dancing, too. Two bald guys both pretending like they have hair. Celebrate good times come on...it's a celebration.

I personally love my Ecco's. Have not tried Sketchers as i'm afraid they will make me go bald, but on the plus side maybe they will make me a better dancer. LOL
