Never Compromise

I've been struggling with my putting lately. Can't make any putts. Hitting some great iron shots close to the pin....then miss the birdie put. Very frustrating. I was cleaning out my garage and in a corner found this old Never Compromise putter. I took it to the practice green and I made everything. It feels really good and I like the way the two tone insert frames the ball. I will be putting it in play this weekend, in the hopes of having better success on the greens. It has an old smaller pistol grip that feels great. I've been trying the larger grips with limited success. Hopefully I've found the answer to my putter woes.

I have the NC gambler limited and the gambler flush. I game the Flush as it is a #9 headshape. Forged and milled it is as nice as other designer putters yet can be had for under a $100 on Ebay. The feeling off the face feels like a Mizuno iron. I paired it with a Garsen Ultimate grip and love putting with it. NC putters are the best quality/value proposition in the putter market imo if you don't mind playing a used putter.

The Voodoo Daddy was in my bag for 13 years. Every year I'd test the new putters and the Voodoo stayed. Then the TM Spider came out and the Voodoo was retired. Never Compromise made really good stuff!

OP: I'm willing to bet that the improved putting performance with the old NC putter is due to it having a conventional pistol grip versus the larger grips that you've been trying. The smaller grip allows you to release the putter head properly whereas the big grips tend to quiet the hands to the point of not releasing the head in the stroke.

You may be right. My putting did improve yesterday. I was hitting the sweet spot almost every time. Distance control was off due to that, but I think I will stick with this one for a while. I rolled many more putts past the hole, whereas I usually come up short. The sweet spot on this putter feels really nice. I will need to get a new grip. The one on there is the original and is not in good shape from being buried in the garage for so long. Any ideas for a new pistol style grip?
