Man that looks good. Although when my brother and I went to the Nascar races in Charlotte a few summers ago, they had a cheeseburger in between a split/grilled donut. Sounds awesome, tastes great but impossible to eat. Definitely need a wrapper of some kind.

And it seems like all those guys interact with/play with the pros to SOME degree. Not that I'm a 24/7 golf channel watcher, but the "vibe" of the studio was always kind of the appeal.

Tournament yesterday was aces. More than anything. . .that course -- especially down the stretch -- has plenty of bogeys and birdies out there in a way that not every course seems to. Everyone made a little of both and that's a good win for Sungjae. It came down to a guy trailing by 1 on who hit a good drive and left himself with a good number into a risk/reward par 5. And the leader had to make a sand save to hold par on the same hole.

I'm not a fan of Nicklaus courses when I've played them but he sure knew how to challenge these guys coming in.

i always root for tommy and had him in the one and done but IM is a guy I root for basically every week. He hit is 7'10" on 15 and 7'10" on 17. Those are SICK shots. He earned the W.

 

in the scope of work agreement between mrs 2more and I basketball practices this winter have been my responsibility. But MD plays tomorrow at 7 so I asked her if she could do it this week. when i saw that it was going to be 60 today i was like "yeah uh hitting balls is a higher priority i can DVR the game you want to trade monday for tuesday". she LOLed at the golf obsession and told me to just go today. it feels almost mandatory to enjoy the weather. this is the first 60+ degree day this year correct?

Nah, I think we've hit a bunch of 60* days so far, pretty sure we actually had a 70* weekend in January - or at least one day.

Got a couple hours in the simulator on Friday and I got out to hit balls yesterday, was just too windy later in the afternoon to bother staying out that long. Been nursing a hamstring injury that popped up on the treadmill one day and I've been trying to work through it. I feel like the only real solution to something like this is to do absolutely nothing for 4-5 days rather than just "some" running or hitting "a few" balls which is what I had been doing to - surprise - not much success.

I love this course for a PGA event but I always marvel at the fact that people play this course on vacation or actually retire to one of these neighborhoods and join it as a member. Water on 16/18 holes sounds awesome for the PGA, it sounds like the opposite of what I'd want as I eased into retirement.

Totally. NLU talked about that a little and yesterday 2More mentioned in a text that it's the highest slope he can think of for any PGA course. 148. Higher than Bethpage black, or Torrey. I couldn't think of one higher. Not saying there isn't.

Its one of the reasons when I talk to people about retiring somewhere to play golf, retiring to Florida is not as great/easy as it sounds for golf. This is a lot of what you get for "Florida golf".

The status quo Florida golf courses definitely do zippy zilch for me, in terms of jimmy tingles.

How many golf balls would Fred Fifteen-Capper lose on average, playing 6000 and change yard tees at PGA National? Gotta be in the neighborhood of two sleeves, right?
