Anyone have trouble with the disc closure? Mine tend to loosen pretty badly every 3-4 holes when walking. My FJ BOAs hold so much better but are not nearly as stylish. So frustrating.

A top mounted BOA is just not as good in my opinion. weird that they have theirs, being they introduced it like 20 years ago.. you would think they would have the best one.... but sadly no..

I believe FJ has the rights to the heel placement of the boa disk.

Weird that you bring that up...Ive had the complete opposite experience. The heel mounted "knob" on my FJ XPS-1's ALWAYS comes loose several times during the round whereas the top mounted disc on my Puma TT Ignites NEVER has come loose.

 

In addition to placement it could be a function of the mechanism itself...the Puma's you turn the knob left to unlock on the FJ's you pull the knob.

I have issues on my titan tour discs. My American market ones slip as well as the ones I bought from a Korean store via eBay. They have the pull to release style. They all slip for me

Honestly, I think the lace models are better. I put snap laces on them and that’s as good as I got

I feel like everything is just getting way too expensive. Clothes, shoes, clubs, fees. It's never been a cheap sport, but I don't remember new pants costing $90 until the last few years. And $200 for shoes...it's cliche, but I've got a mouth to feed. And we could do a lot better at spending $200 than on some golf shoes.

 

Though I will say if you can swing it, go for it. I'm certainly not judging, since everyone's finances and priorities are totally different.

I did buy the Jordan 11's for $220. That is the exception because that is the greatest shoe of all time. Only time I'd go over $200 is if it was custom like a My Joy.

$200 is a big no buy for me. I'll wait til closer to the $130- 140 tops range I think. Based on the past few years, I end up buying all new shoes every year due to all the rain and dirt that my shoes see...I can't stomach $600+ on shoes each year, that's madness. (I always like having 3 colors, color me anal I guess)

On golf channel they showed the Brysons custom AP leather poweradapt. White leather green sole AP umbrella on heel and some gold accents on tongue. Can’t find any mention that these will be offered by Puma as limited edition.

I am really digging the new PROADAPT. I am looking for a simple white shoe with good stability. I have never gamed Pumas before, but these might be worth a look. Current FJ "modern" shoes just don't look pleasing to me, and my Adidas Tour 360s are a little too high off the ground for my tastes. Right now it's looking like this year's shoe will either be these new Pumas or UA Spieth 3.
