Coreyhr - I have a set of TS1's and they're really good. Worth trying for sure. If I was doing it over would have put the Elevate Tour shaft instead of KBS Tour 120's, but know that is just personally preference. If I could sell them and not get killed, would get a set with the Elevate Tours. I'm not a club builder so golfworks built mine. I must admit, I would really like to try to the TS2's too. Either way, the TS1's are great sticks.

I bought a TS-1 6 iron head to put on a Nippon Modus 120. It just arrived and I'm very impressed with the look of this head. Just bouncing a ball off the face, the feel and sound seems like it's going to be great as well. Going to build it tonight or tomorrow and will report back how it compares to my Z-745 6 iron, see if the difference in VCOG between the two results in noticeable ball flight and quality of strike variances.

It's a very small sample size, but it appears that the lower VCOG does make the ball want to launch higher with the TS-1. Spin was really low in my opinion, but it actually had a steeper landing angle than my 745. It also did seem very easy to hit, so maybe there is a little bit of something to these specs. These things look and feel awesome. I'm so tempted to build an entire set, but the re-sale value is practically non-existent. Decisions...

I use the charts for everything but the MRF. Looking at MOI, VCOG and C dim are helpful when looking for a new set and maybe you can't demo or get fit.

 

For me personally, I want the most compact head I can get, but with the lowest VCOG and biggest C dim available, and my common miss is thin and toe side. "Player blades" absolutely kill me with the higher and heel side CG.

The P730 does have decent MOI, C-dimension kills the score, these are obviously designed for someone who hits the sweetspot. Can you imagine someone like Tiger hitting that EL-1 though? LOL the COG is so low it is insane.

Those old TM irons were pretty cool, hollow body design done old school.

He started on tour with Mizuno MP-14's, which have an AVCOG of .687"

I actually quite like his ratings, I accept there might be some flaws (over 1000's of clubs), but generally speaking you can go on there and a beginner to mid handicap player can find a legitimately forgiving set of irons if they are in the 750-980 range.

If you're a low handicap player you should know the game/equipment well enough not to need this sort of stuff anyway.  

There might be some oddities on there like the i500's which I do not believe are as extreme as the list makes out, but if you're looking for a forgiving set of irons and you selected something in the 850-980 range, you will find those irons are going to be some of the most forgiving out there.

I bought JPX 900 forged based on looks and ego as someone off about 10(and dropping)
I sold them after a range session as I was not hitting them well at all.  I just found them easier to hit left or right, when all I wanted was a straight shot.

I sold them ordered the Steelhead XR (based on the ratings there) and I was hitting them like they have been in my bag for years within 5 minutes of opening them.  

The callys were rated about 970 the 900's about 650 and I felt that was a reasonable, numerical indicator of how much easier the callys were over the 900's.   Ever since then I have always had a little faith in the list and it seems reasonably up to date too.

I figured someone who goes to that much trouble probably has a little something to them that is worth considering.
