Show us your Pushcart Setup!

Recommended Posts

I haven't been able to find a thread on here, but have always been interested in seeing the bag/club/cart combos of our WRX community. I'd start with a display of my current setup, but oddly enough, I don't have anything to post yet.

ClickGear 3.5+ with the Tour Bag Kit. The kit moves the bag into a more upright position, and gets the clubs away from the cargo net. I have the sand/seed bottle kit, and large drink holder. I thought the ClicGear storage net and bag were junk, so I attached a larger Sun Mountain storage bag. My SkyCaddie GPS is attached to the handle with an inexpensive iPhone bike mount.

Solid set up! I wish TGW had attachments for a sand bottle. The storage bag is a must have imo for pushcarts. I currently have a stand bag on my TGW (Cart bag coming this week!) and I find that I use the bag way more often than I first envisioned. Are umbrella mounts standard with Clicgear or is it an extra?

The ClicGear sand bottle can be used with any pushcart with 1" tubing. The ClicGear comes with a cheap umbrella mount that screws into the top center of the handle. It's not adjustable, and it positions the umbrella too low for my liking. I have the optional adjustable umbrella holder. It allows one to angle the umbrella, and it lifts it up a few inches.

I can 2nd the adjustable umbrella holder - much better than the one that comes with the cart. I went to a stand bag for range days this year (Sun Mountain C130S) and added the "Bag Cozy" to hold the legs in place - works quite well. I also have the bottom booster, but after trying it I didn't think it was necessary and took it off. They do sell an umbrella extension also that raises up the original holder by a couple of inches. I would guess from this that they know the original holder is not high enough.

Here is my setup with my Flextech Lite on the TGW Player's 3 wheel. My umbrella usually makes an appearance to keep me in the shade but it's been about 25 degrees cooler here compared to the last week or so. I do have a cart bag on the way, so this setup will partially change around the end of the week.

Picked this cart up recently after getting sick of paying to rent one every time. Had to yank the wheels off and correct the color, gave the thing a bath and so far its working great (payed 30 bucks for it). Little tough to get used to the 3rd wheel, strange to manouver.

Nice setup Argonne, looks like you’ve got a lot of the nice accessories. But do you have the blender attachment to make Margaritas on the back nine? I didn’t think so....

Lol. No blender, but I do have a nice battery powered clip-on fan for those steamy summer days.

The Tour Bag Kit for the ClicGear gets the bag more upright.

Update: I have since made the switch to the cart bag I had previously mentioned. GolfGalaxy had a nice sale on bags and I picked up a Maxfli Honors cart bag. There's so many more pockets compared to my stand bag that I am still trying to figure out how to best organize, let alone fill them!

Makes me miss my Vapor Fly irons.

I need to check the diameter of the tubing on mine, if it's 1 inch, I'd like to order the sand bottle holder and foot brush from Clicgear.

The ClicGear Sand Bottle has a handle on it, and the mount has room behind it for a nylon strap. Worst case if your tubing is too large, you could rig up a strap w/ carbiner that loops through the handle or mount.

Clicgear 3.5 (white with white wheels), various golf sets in various Ogio and Sun Mountain stand bags. The Clicgear has a shoe brush, the rotating knob handle, a cooler bag and usually has a cigar clip on one end, a bluetooth speaker in the middle and a beer on the other end. Wife has a similar set-up, but her's is white with pink wheels.

Does the Tour Bag Kit interfere with the folding up of the cart? With the tour bag kit and your Ping bag, do you need the booster kit to prevent the bag from rubbing on the front tire? I'm thinking about buying this cart and have the same model bag.

No, the kit doesn't interfere with the folding. The only change is that the upper arms must be removed, and flipped 180 degrees. It takes less than 30 seconds. I didn't have to booster the bag. The tour bag kit comes with a new lower bracket that gets the bag away from the tire. A few weeks ago my bag started rubbing, but I discovered that the nut holding the lower locking arm bolt had loosened, allowing the upper part of the cart to sag a bit. After tightening the nut, all was well.

Is the Sun Mountain storage bag that you have the [Micro-Paq](https://shop.sunmountain.com/micro-paq-detail "Micro-Paq")? Do you find that you get a lot of use out of it? If so, what do you carry in it?

I just picked up my ClicGear 3.5 today (got a great deal on a floor model at Dick's) and I'm in the process of ordering accessories. Like you, I have the Ping Pioneer bag. which already has a lot of storage. I'm not sure whether I'd get much use out of an additional storage bag.

No, it's the Speed Paq ([https://shop.sunmountain.com/speed-paq-1-detail](https://shop.sunmountain.com/speed-paq-1-detail "https://shop.sunmountain.com/speed-paq-1-detail")).

Yes, I get a lot of use out of it. For starters, I keep my extended adjustable umbrella holder in front net of the storage bag. I've never been fond of the umbrella clip on the underside of the ClicGear. It's OK for the standard (lightweight) umbrella holder, the the oversized adjustable holder is too long and heavy. I take off my driver headcover during the round, and it goes in the storage bag. In the spring and fall, the bag holds my jacket or wind vest once the morning temperatures warm up.

By the way, ClicGear has a summer sale going on through 8/12 on their website. Free shipping on orders over $25, and 15% off orders over $50. Code: CGSUMMER19.

I see what you mean about the umbrella holder. The one thing that was missing from the floor model that I bought (besides the box) was the standard umbrella mount. Since I figured that I'd buy the extended one anyway, I didn't care. The extended one arrived this morning and I agree with you that it not a great fit. I think that I'm going to completely remove the umbrella holder and replace it with an additional standard tab mount

I received and installed the tour bag kit last night. I'm not thrilled with the ease with which the arms slide off of the new posts on which they sit. I understand the need for them to be able to be removed. But, I really think that Clicgear should have included some type of clip (similar to the one that you use for your GPS, but more like a round alligator clip or like a spring hose clamp) or a spring loaded retainer in the post, just above the arms (kind of like what is used on an adjustable cane or a pair of aluminum crutches). This way, it would be easy to remove the arms when you want to, but prevent them from accidentally coming off while folding up the cart.

I can really see myself driving off from the golf course with an upper arm on the ground right behind the spot where my car was parked because I didn't see that it had accidentally fallen off.

I've had my kit for two years, and the arms have never come off when folding the cart. Since the arms have to be removed, any clip or clamp would likely be the first to get lost. Lol.

I bet one could find something at Home Depot. A press-on back cap of some type would likely do the trick. Another option would be to secure the arms to the post arm with a black lanyard. It would allow the arms to be flipped, but would stay attached to the post extender.

After installing the extension kit and other accessories last night, I put everything onto the cart and wanted to see how the umbrella holder worked as opposed to using the holder in the bag. When I removed the bag and folded the cart, I forgot to first remove the umbrella from the holder, which pulled the left arm off of the post as the cart folded. I realize that this was an extreme example and a complete screw up on my part. But, my first thought was that there probably should be something to prevent that from happening. They don't allow it to happen in the standard setup. So, why not do something to prevent it from doing so using the kit?

I had thought about a cap. But, I agree that a clip or cap would probably be the first thing to get lost. I think that the best method to prevent the arm from coming off accidentally, but easily allow it to do so would be a single hole in each post with a locking button sticking out of it. That button would need to be positioned above the spot where the top of the arms would sit.

Here's an example of what I'm talking about.

When you want to remove the arm, just press the button to allow the arm to pass over it. But, this is something that Clicgear would need to do during manufacturing. I can't see myself trying to drill a hole into the post and installing the locking button.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
