1987 host Muirfield Village was the same thing. Build a golf course and sell the real estate around it.

Should all the employees of the Euro tour agree to be paid less so you can view "proper golf"?

Yes I'm sure GD takes envelopes of cash from Ballybunion to put them near the top lol.

They already are paid less. Or don't you look at tournament purses?

You're wrong, it was out of the list because it was under renovations. Came back in the top 10.

The idea it's not in the top 100 in Ireland is ludicrous, in fact no serious list would have it out of top 20.

Wow, now that’s a list.

On point, I actually quite enjoyed Adare Manor, but it’s very American in terms of course design. There are elements in specific areas which play like links or probably more sand belt, but it’s a hundred times better than Le Golf de Travesty. The Ryder Cup is a cash grab, why is anyone surprised.

Germany were very keen for a while on bidding to get the Ryder Cup but 2030 and 2034 will be too late for Kaymer as a player.

Sorry i have to ask but have you actually played the course?

Think i'll take John Rahm's view over yours for now as he has actually spent some time there before The Open and said it was amazing

No guarantees but it all seems to fit, it was my first thought when the venue was confirmed.

Got a link? And don't show me the link about "best golf RESORTS" because that's an entirely different breed of cat.

LOL, the level of naivete here is really something. This whole thing was brokered by Irish tax exile JP McManus who somehow got the Irish government to pony up $50M. The irony of that is staggering. Rahm is playing in JP's tourney next year at Adare. He's probably getting a nice check just to appear. And it's Jon Rahm, not John.

The course has never been the star of the Ryder Cup. The players and what the play for is the focus. With fewer must see golf events the European Tour must chase the money with the RC. They only have it on their soil once every 4 years. The course won't matter- the U.S. will somehow be listed as a favorite by the media and fail again...But we know the Irish will host a great party.

Well shoot me all to hell, Jon it is

I'm guessing you haven't actually played the course then, or even been to the place

Imho Germany should have had Ryder Cup in 2022, still no idea why they gave it to Italy...

Berlin vs Rome...as an outsider, I can totally see why they did.

So I have to play the course to know it's overpriced resort rubbish designed to appeal to slime like JP McManus? I'm glad you now know it's Jon Rahm.

How can you know if a course is overpriced or rubbish or not if you have never seen it?
