Players completing all 72 holes are guaranteed Symetra status. Having a cut would reduce the players eligible for the Symetra Tour.

This is turning into a bloodbath. A lot of the top players are really struggling.

I know it ain't over till it's over but B and yuka need to hustle... the scoreboard today has been wonky and toying with my emotions -- she's still within striking distance of top 30 at 2 strokes back but she needs to step up tomorrow), Hira Naveed defines imploding esp in hole #1 (from -6 at the start of the round with a 11 on a par 4 on hole #1... )... I guess that's golf...

Seriously not sure who the "top players" are other than Yealimi maybe. Not sure why scores are "wonky" either.

The number 1,2,5,7 ranked LET players are moving on which seems to make sense statistically and experience wise.

The number 1,3,4,5,9,11,15 Amateurs are moving on which makes sense skill wise.

I understand a few certain favorite am's didn't move on, but the top 30 looks about spot on if you consider who they are.

I expected more from the highly-touted amateurs. If a player is going to slip college, and head directly to the pros, they had better deliver.

That said, a year on the Symetra tour wouldn't be the worst thing that could happen.

So you mean Bianca, Yuka? Ranked at 53rd and 21st at the amateur level. Looks like the highly skilled ones are moving on, and the highly "hyped" ones are gonna try next time.

I take it that the green banner on the leaderboard is something that was coded in before the tournament started, but that 48 players will still advance, which makes -1 the current threshold (playoff to cull this score down)?

https://www.lpga.com/news/2019-top-storylines-from-stage-ii-qualifying-tournament

Individuals will battle in a 72-hole stroke play format featuring no cut. Furthermore, a minimum of the top-30 players and ties will advance to LPGA Q-Series contested from Oct. 23 to Nov. 2 in Pinehurst, N.C. at Pinehurst Resort. Those at the next score, or scores, will also move on provided the total number of players in Q-Series does not exceed 108 which currently has 60 exempt and entered competitors.

I dunno how this truly works, safe to say that one shld just aim for top 30 incl ties just to be on the safe side... Lots of golf still tomorrow esp those in the -1 to -4 range

I dunno. I may have misinterpreted the guidelines. No more than 108 players will be in the field for Q-Series, but that doesn't mean that exactly 108 will make it. They state that the number is TBD, which I thought was dependent on the number of players in the other 3 categories. However, I guess it's possible that 30 plus ties could be the number.

I'm not sure why they wouldn't have 48 move on, as Stage II players who didn't advance from Stage I have to pay an additional fee for Q-Series. 'Can't see why the tour would pass up money if they've already allotted 108 spots.

This is so confusing. I'm sure more so for the golfers themselves. I know that the cut line obviously changes as players play their rounds, however, based on 18majors' observations, it does seem that the qualifications for stage 3 keeps changing (even after taking the cut line changing into consideration)... Sheesh, I'd stick with -5 and better just to be safe... FWIW, the scoreboard that we get in our feed (at least my feed) is not always correct -- the scores are initially posted then corrected later for errors, etc... Go B!!!

I'm actually confused, is it top 30 incl ties or is it top 48 excluding ties? Is that the reason it keeps changing since the criteria is that 48 excluding ties will advance?

The total number of qualifiers can't exceed 48.

It can be T41, T35 or T26; but the total number has to be 48 or lower.

Yealimi off to a great start at -4 for 7 holes. She currently at -4, and above the projected cut line.

It will be interesting to see which players currently inside the cut line stumble today when the pressure is really on.

Yealimi fails to birdie the par 5 9th so she shoots 31 on the front instead of 30. Not bad.

Yes, I'm sure Team Bianca will go follow Yuka after her last 3 holes is done... Yuka still has not tee'd off yet :)

As well, 3holes for B to go... that's still a lot of golf -- lots can happen as we know... Go B!!!!!!
