Yuka didn't have her best in the final round; she shot +2 to finish even (72-69-73-74) and T21.

Atthaya had a steady and outstanding tournament; she shot 73-69-73-70 to finish -3 and T12.

Yealimi concluded her roller coaster journey 75-67-75-68; she matched Atthaya with -3 and T12.

A Yeon had an off week, 71-72-73-73, she's +1 and T23.

Drats, I didn't realize that Yuka actually stumbled in the end -- half awake when I saw your update and obviously in golf, confusing a + and - paired with a number means disaster -- re-read this thread after your new posts... Anyway, as you said, over and done with. I'm keen to see the challenge which Stage II brings -- albeit only in text form as there's no coverage! (and going to FL just to watch is an expensive endeavor from my end having to travel through the border! :)... EDIT: and I re-read everything again and realized I did read right initially -- it was round 3 and Yuka was doing well until round 3 (where I made my initial comment of Yuka having mometum)! LOL... it's Sunday morning here and I'm sitting on my computer sipping through coffee -- need for coffee to take effect LOL... thanks for the update 18majors! Go Bianca (and Yuka)!!

Rebecca Lee-Bentham has been documenting on Instagram instant video her drive from Toronto Canada to Florida for Q-School; she's quite a sport.

Nobody is a lock for Q-School; not Tiger, Rory nor Annika Sorenstam. But Bianca and Yuka are high on the totem pole.

Did you ever wonder how much would it cost for Rebecca Lee-Bentham to drive from Toronto to Florida? Probably manageable!

I truly believe this Q-School will be a memorable one; many have the potential to be all time greats.

The talk of town and the envy of many

Leona is headed to the @LPGA next season!

By finishing 7th on the @ROAD2LPGA money list, she has secured her tour card. Congratulations, @leona_maguire! #TeamKPMG

Prolly manageable for Rebecca in terms of stamina but not me haha. I drove from TO to CT close to a decade ago and it took me 8-9 hours excluding 3 pitstops (and those pitstops were necessary for both vehicle fuel intake and human nourishment purposes LOL). FL will take close to 2x a long lol...As for QSchool, I hear ya, it's a crapshoot in a way but at least there's a lot of rounds to be able to wean the contenders from the pretenders. Either way, as you guys all know, it's a very interesting next few weeks for me for the people I'm gung ho for - B, Yuka, Hinako etc... On the one hand I'm sitting here watching Kevin Na bungle his lead away on the 16th, while I grumble why no coverage on QSchool.. ugh... :)

I always wondered how come she didn't get early entry to LPGA (full tour status) vs the others like Kupcho/Fassi... She was well known in the NCAA's, but again, I'm not too well versed on the technicalities of the LPGA hence I asked a somewhat similar question (on retaining status) on another thread. She will probably at least a solid consistent performer on the tour, at least based on what I've seen of her in the NCAA's...

Jennifer and Maria both earned their cards at Q-Series last fall, and deferred membership until after they completed college. Of course, by being top ranked college players they were allowed to skip Stage II, and go directly to Q-Series. Allowing the top college players direct access to Q-Series was a bit controversial.

It's down to 188 from 226 on the Final Stage II entry list; after names were taken off for those lucky ones who either got LPGA cards or earned direct entry to Q-Series.

There're tons of talented youngsters left, all will be fighting for between 30 to 48 precious spots for Q-Series; this's one of the toughest assignments in golf.

She's an amateur, my mistake.

Lucy Li (born 10/1/2002) won't be 18 until late next year, she's too young to earn a LPGA card.

She's like Nelly Korda (born 7/28/1998) in 2015, who's Stage II medalist but wasn't eligible for Stage III. Instead, Nelly played Symetra Tour in 2016.

Lucy has stated that she won't petition and will play Symetra Tour in 2020.

Leona Maguire entered 2018 Q-School Stage II, she failed to qualify for Q-Series by one stroke.

Jennifer Kupcho and Maria Fassi were top 5 in 2018 NCAA ranking and were granted exemptions into Q-Series. That exemption has been changed to top 5 amateurs and top 5 collegiates into Stage II this year.

Mostly College players and some Euros. I’m much more familiar with them than any KLPGA or JLPGA players.

College - the usuals should do well; Brooks, Valenzuela, Lee, and maybe Belac

Euros - I expect MacLaren to get through and hope Pedersen, Boulden, and Cowan do too

.You've done a good job keeping tabs on this. I've not followed it as much as I have in years past, but I take it from the Final Field for Stage 2, that the top Symetra Tour players between 11 and 35 have been granted automatic entry into the final stage?

> Yes, 2019 Symetra Tour players ranked #11 - 35 (w/ ties) are in the field at the Q-Series.

>

> The other entrants include 2019 LPGA Tour members ranked #101 - 150, players ranked inside the Rolex Top 75 (as of 8/12/19), and the qualifiers from Stage II (number TBD).

3 of the 5 members of Arizona's 2018 NCAA Cinderella #8 upset #1 story are in the field next week. Let's see how they all fare... (eg Bianca Pagdanganan, Haley Moore and Gigi Stoll).
