Lamkin Grips - Anyone use them?

Killing time, I went into the PGATSS to browse, and I was pretty impressed with the Sonar Tour grips. I play a Zcord now and hate that it chews through gloves at almost 1 per round. At best, I get 3 rounds out of my glove, FJ Pro FLX or Stasof (I'm LH so limited glove options). I like the grip on my Zcord but wanted something a touch softer, but wouldn't torque when contacting the ball. I guess another reason why I favor a firm grip.

Has anyone played these grips, and if so, what are your thoughts? Do they grip well when wet or humid? Do they wear out quick? And, are they tough on gloves?

I received a Sonar grip, when, they were introduced. I have it on my F6 baffler, and, it is still there. A little of the paint fill wore off, but, the grip doesn't seem to have a big wear spot.

Sonar grips are much easier on gloves versus the Zcord (had these before switching to Crossline Cords). The Sonar grip works ok, when, wet, but, I usually attempt to dry my grips.

I thought about switching all of clubs to the Sonar Tour grip earlier this season(it wasn't available yet), so, since, I was only changing a couple of grips, I went with the regular Crossline grips. You might want to try it on one club as a test before re-gripping a whole set.

I played the iLines (made by Iomic) when they were on clearance, not quite same as Iomic but for the price worked just fine.

I'd try out a regular golf pride tour velvet full cord if I were you before going to Lamkin. Softer than the zgrip but still gives excellent grip and won't tear through your gloves so quick. Only problem is if you need midsize you won't find it, but the MCC's would be good too.

Man, I wish they still made those! I still have 2-3 and they usually go on my driver. Gonna have to not be as tight and buy some Iomic.

I've been playing the Sonar midsize all year. Love them. Tried them and the zcord when they both came out. Was wanting something softer and easier on my hands which are starting to develop arthritis. Obviously the Sonar is the softer of the two. I ended up gripping every club in my bag with them. They have exceeded my expectations. And after a season of 40+ rounds and many range sessions, they have held up very well. I always replace my grips every winter and right now the plan is to go with the Sonar's again in 2020.

Lamkin makes excellent product. Quality and durability outshine Golf Pride imo. I was a longtime user of Golf Pride grips but I've switched. The only downside would be fewer color choices and product lines to choose from. Good luck

UTx is best corded grip ever in my opinion. Soft with "just enough" cord, and durable as hell. Sad to see they seem to be phasing them out, but glad I stocked up (red midsize) and they last. I'm still on a set 3 years old, and with a little soap/water/brushing they are almost like new.

I love the plain ole Lamkin Crossline. Lasts forever and super budget friendly. Can get a bit slick when wet, but nothing a towel can’t handle.
