Pushing mostly all shots with a fade, on driver

What causes me to push all my shots with a fade? Really showes on the driver. Is it my path, plane ... I’ve tried alignment sticks and it helps somewhat.

If your hitting push fades it's because you have a too in to out path with an open face

If the club face is open at impact and the swing path is along the target line, you will still hit a push fade. It is even possible to hit a push fade with an in-to-out swing path, provided the club face is open to the swing path.

 

All that can be deduced from a push-fade is that at impact the face is open with respect to the target line and to the swing path.

Open face causes the fade, open face with in to out causes the push.

 

Line up with your feet down middle of fairway, then aim/look down the left side of the fairway. This will steepen your swing plane somewhat. Also consider slightly strengthening grip if you begin to slice with previous advice.

 

This should produce a straight slight fade

This is false. If you the club face is open 3 degrees (to target line) at impact and the swing path is in-to-out by 5 degrees, then the result will be a push-draw.

You need to post a video of your swing, there are too many variables to know what you need to change.

I had this same issue. I couldn’t draw a driver if you paid me. I’d aim down the left edge of each fairway and let it fade back.

 

Answer for me was really simple: I wasn’t fully releasing the club. 5 mins of feeling like I was fully releasing the clubhead and the starting direction changed substantially.

I hit push fades, especially when the driver, when I shift too much laterally towards the target on the downswing. When this starts to happen, I think about posting up on my lead leg (left leg for a righty) and rotating throughout the swing. In my head, I'm rotating over the top of my left leg.

Try moving the ball up in your stance a hair, or slightly strengthen your grip

Check impact first, heel shots tend to be push fades
