I've wanted to buy a set for several years now but they never come up for sale, or they're in awful condition, or 7-P, etc.

 

Really glad they released the Staff model blade, though I haven't had the chance to get to Golf Town and hit them.

Yes, I just went back and forth between testing the Mizuno MP20's and the new Wilson blades. I saw (or felt) no difference between the two so I went with the Wilsons because I thought they looked sexier to my eye and they were $15 a club cheaper. It's winter here so I can't tell you how they play but I see no reason they will disappoint me at all.

I believe I have a set of FG59’s in storage that were given to me by my uncle. Have never played them. What’s the difference between the original and the Edwin Watts re-release? The other ones he gave me are a 1963 set of Wilson Staff Turfriders that just look cool. And small.

I actually just made a connection I can get a good price on the Wilson blades through. They look gorgeous in person. Still need to go in for my fitting. They look like they have a ton of camber and a bit more bounce compared to the MP20. Have you hit them off turf at all? Winter here too but still getting the odd grass range session.

It was warm enough to hit a few shots off grass and they very nice. It's been a couple odd months since I've played and even with a crap swing they performed awesome.

I bought a set (KBS TGI) and then had the shafts changed to some Oban graphite "Revenge" prototypes. Played them down in Texas at the end of October. Still getting used to the shafts, but enjoying the look and feel. Just joined a winter SIM league, and with some outdoor (heated bay) range time upcoming, I should become more comfortable with the set.

Have also hit all of the offerings in the last 5yrs from the major manufacturers. For me it's all of the shape of the heads from 8-pw...I think the ones that fit he turf interaction and blade length that you're looking for are the 620mb. Along with the 945s, they are some of the best that I've played. My range is lush but soft, just a hair steep and you're taking out a big solid piece of divot. The 620s just exits it beautifully.

I’ve been using blades, but now I’m using i20s and thinking hard about the move to P790s which are even more forgiving. I’ve drunk from the evil elixir of TM LOL.

Basically, decided the game is hard enough without torturing myself.

Going to be tough to wean my son off blades. Carries his 6i MB 205 and 3i 240+

Hit today with X100 and the feel was incredible - on par with my MP20. A touch more distance, a stronger flight, and very good price. Might get 3-PW.

I am biased but these things are buttery. Srixon I have also seen as a very underrated company in the US. They make quality products and are pretty reasonably priced.

Haven't seen the cobra MBs mentioned yet - they're very compact and "meaty"
