I’m a little bit passed Sacramento and have not heard of anything like that going on. If you cannot get on in Sac. try Placer, El Dorado or Nevada County. All open for golfing.

No one is getting cited for being out of county. The only citations have been for people that are in areas that are closed to everyone regardless of residency.

The fact that Napa County just opened to residents only is a new development. Not sure how they will enforce that, ID when checking in?

I heard Napa is opening it’s golf courses. Only to Napa residents though?

I did not see anything on Chardonnay's web site about to be a resident of the county.

This is posted on the eagle Vines Website. Looks like you have to be a Napa resident. I called and they said they check.

AFAIK, courses are open for these counties: Sacramento, Napa, San Joaquin, Ventura, Orange, and Riverside.

Announced today for the 6 Bay Area counties, the shelter-in-place will be extended officially "later this week", BUT ALSO:

" The new order will include limited easing of specific restrictions for a small number of lower-risk activities. "

What's lower risk than golf?!

There’s quite a few now showing times. Boundary, Las Positas and Metro were the ones I looked at for a Mon afternoon time. Metro is the only one that took tee times for singles so I booked it.

We are guessing you have been missing golf as much as we have, and are thrilled to announce that we will be opening back up this coming Friday, May 1st!

 

We were just notified from the City of San Diego that we may open for business but we will be WALKING ONLY; no carts will be available. Please bear with us, as the situation is very fluid and ever-changing.

 

 

 While the booking page will list all of our requirements to open, below are a few things to note when making a tee time:

 

We will be taking tee times for May 1st-7th only, you will be notified once we open the tee sheet up for May 8th and beyondAll bookings will be through our website, there will be specific directions on the booking page. Only course with tee times in the Bay is Coyote Creek so far. Can’t wait to hopefully get in 18 next week.

I expect most courses will be opening up throughout the State soon. Eagle Ridge, my home course, is accepting reservations. San Juan Oaks, my old home course is opening up next week for San Benito County residents. Received an email from Yoche Dehe yesterday that they were opening up. I did notice that tee times are 15 minutes apart now, at some courses. And social distancing still in place.

Looks like San Francisco County is limiting courses to 2-somes? (My data points are Harding and Olympic.). San Mateo, Santa Clara and Alameda county courses seem to be allowing foursomes. Don't know why Baylands and Corica haven't gotten their acts together yet to accept tee times online yet...

Half Moon Bay's times are 15 mins apart (instead of 10). Crystal Springs and Metro are 9 minutes apart. I guess they're just making it up as they go along.

@lchang, I just found out yesterday that Santa Cruz County is limiting courses to twosomes. The course had to stretch out the tee times that were booked before the County finally let them know so my tee time got moved out an hour and a half. It is going to be crowded and it will be interesting to see if playing twosomes will help the pace of play. Also I wonder how many groups will join up into foursomes when they get out on the course.

Courses openIng up here in Tahoe with Plumas County and the Reno/Carson also open as of yesterday. 12 minute tee times, up to 4 players (as long as they are together, won’t place groups together) and no carts in Truckee, Nevada county.

Played old Brockway in Kings Beach last week and the restrictions are different here in Placer County. They pair groups/singles together and are allowing carts as well as driving range open.

Just saw Sonoma county is opening courses as well but with what looks like a lot of restrictions. I know for Metro, and maybe some other Alameda County courses the way they are reading the new order is that they can only let singles out for a given tee time unless they live in the same household. I called about tee times tomorrow at Metro and they said for today and tomorrow they are only doing singles until they get some clarification from the county. That's probably why Corica, Monarch and Skywest haven't reopened bookings yet

Played Dublin Ranch and San Juan Oaks since the ban has been lifted. Pretty smooth rounds and pretty normal besides the whole raised cup putting thing. I don't see many groups social distancing however, probably because they know each other.

And I can't tell if Corica's online tee time system is flakey or if most days in the allowable window are really completely booked?

Oh, who else is doing that? Corica, Half Moon Bay, Cinnabar Hills, Crystal Springs, Poppy Ridge...all allowing 4-somes.
