I emailed him in early February inquiring about a build. Didn’t hear back until a month later. Fortunately, what I’m looking for from him is relatively simple and straightforward so only a couple emails back and forth before paying my invoice a little over a week ago. A couple changes to the build via email and that was it. Haven’t heard back since, but I’m actually ok with it. Seems like that’s just how he operates. Not sure if he’s just busy, etc… but there were a couple days there where I was getting antsy about whether or not this thing was actually going to get built or not. Not sure if this helps or not but I’ve seen his work and I’m still really excited about how it all turns out. Not sure about an update or if this thing just shows up on my doorstep one day(hopefully soon). I say give it some time and I’m sure he’ll get back to you, but I doubt you’ll get real time back and forth or updates if that’s what you’re looking for.

I've reached to him twice in the last 2 months... crickets. Guess these guys already have so much of a backlog (and I'm a repeat customer).

I ordered from him back before he became super popular. Reached out this spring with a project request (twice) and never heard back. I truthfully think he's one of the best. Tons of custom options. Would hate to see him give it up.

Yeah he hasn't posted on IG since May. Shame if it's true... Also kind of sucks to not even say anything and just go dark.

My buddy is in touch with him about getting a custom job done and it sounds like he may have moved. Maybe that's the reason he was out for a little while

It was. He moved and he's been working on other personal projects. I'm not sure when he'll resume going back at it more consistently.

Glad to hear he's back and it wasn't anything overly serious.    His putter is still the best feeling and looking putter for what I paid , the value you get for your dollar with him is unmatched.  I've had plenty of people try and buy his putter off me at tournaments and money games, hopefully some of those have turned into sales for him.  My artisan is pretty solidly in the bag just do to rolling about 5000 putts with it this winter on the practice mat.

Have been in love with the feel of a Ping PLD Anser 2 for a few months now and was about to pull the trigger after getting my tax return, but then I stumbled across Compass Golf on Instagram...they're at a much lower price point than some of the other full-custom putter artisans, and I'm looking for validation to spend the extra $100 or so to get a Compass Golf putter. Anybody willing to help me rationalize/justify this decision? haha. Basically, are you gaming these putters over some of your other "regulars" (eg. Scotty Camerons, Pings, your favorite gamer over the past few years, etc.) due to awesome performance/feel/balance? Or are Compass Golf putters more just beautiful tools that are exciting at first and then seem to spend more time in the office than in the bag?

I would buy it to game it 100%..they won’t have huge resale..should be very custom to you and he does a good job

I gamed my custom almost all of last year. They aren't well known/desirable enough to be a collector item. 

 

I have another one coming that I hope is in my doorstep this week. He's terrible at communicating, so who knows what day but I plan to game that this year and my other Compass will be my back up. I'll likely sell my Odyssey.
