I purchased this driver in 10.5 degrees about 2 months ago because of the deals PXG had.  Because I am left handed I was able to get it for $275 with a Kuro Kage Black Dual Core TINI shaft in stiff with no upcharge.  I'm a 14 handicap with a mid 90's swing speed and the last two drivers I've had are Ping G400 Max and Srixon Z785 and for me, personally, it is better than the Max in every way and the Srixon may be longer for me on perfect strikes but I don't have as many of them as I would like and the PXG is much more forgiving.  In my 9 hole league last night I hit 5 of 6 fairways.  The forgiveness is the reason I bought it, on another website it was rated the most forgiving driver of 2019 out of the 24 drivers they tested.  Also they rated it the best feeling driver they tested.  I have to say I agree with both of those conclusions, this is by far the best driver I have ever bought.

I have the 0811x in the Gen2 with a 12 degree.  absolutely the best driver i have ever tried and most forgiving. i have a mid 90s swing speed.

Good question because I swear the smoother I swing with the Gen 2 XF the more farther and accurate my drives are. Wish they had those no upcharge DIamana S+ in stock when I ordered mine. The Tensei CK Pro Blue was worth it at $125 but its $200 now.

Have one as well and it's pretty forgiving but I'm just getting back into the game after a long layoff and it replaced a driver from 2007 so it was bound to be better.  I did pick up a G400 max off classifieds here as well and i like the xf better

Anyone else looking at these now that they are on "sale"? I'm also coming from a G400 Max. Any recommendation on shafts? I would prefer to not go upcharge to keep it on the cheaper side but not too intrigued by most of the stock offering except maybe the Smoke Yellow. I have done well with CB shafts in my G400 Max so that might work for me.

last May I went to a PXG Fitter. At the time I was gaming an old ladies Ping 16* driver with an R flex TFC shaft.  I swing around 90mph and have an ultra strong grip with my right hand. Natural drawer of the Ball. So at impact I deloft causing usually low left shots as my miss. 

My ideal driver is high loft with a neutral to open face and an upright lie angle. Hard to find. Cobra Speedzone Xtreme is probably the closest I’ve come to this type of build. 
 

Also I like to loft up a driver and not make the face closed which is also hard to come by.  The PXG 14* on paper should have been a perfect fit. 

 

At the fitter He seemed to have a hard time beating my Frankenstein gamer combo. Finally we settled on a Tensei Orange Pro stiff which in reality is way too much shaft for me given my swing speed. I think at the fitting I was well warmed up because I brought my super speed sticks to the session and used them to warm up. Probably a bad idea. 

On the course it was ok but I stumbled onto the Epic Flash 12* lofted to 14* in the Draw setting which increases the lie angle. Head to head the Flash beat the PXG by probably 5-7 yds on avg with a straighter flight. The PXG always wanted to draw on me. 
 

I paid around $800 with the upgraded shaft which luckily on trade in covered the cost of the new Flash.  

I will say with the $275 price right now I’d be tempted to try another, this time with the Riptide CB 50 5.5 shaft.  I think that would be a better fit for me as my gamer shaft is an Even Flow Green 55 5.5. 
 

if it wasn’t for me owning the Xtreme, Flash and wanting to try the new G425 Max 12* I’d probably buy it again.
