The Miura Giken - Miura Craftsman World - MCW - Custom Option Thread

For reference Miura Giken Japan, has the Miura Craftsman World which allows various custom options. Here is a break down of all the choices available.

 

Face Option - Standard; Round Face; Small Face (smaller overall size than standard) Type R (round) Type S (square)

 

* choosing Type R or Type S does not allow for any sole options!

 

Sole Option - Leading Edge Grind; Trailing Edge Grind; Double Cut sole (both leading/trailing edge); Dent Sole

 

Topline - Standard, Thin; Thick; Bead Blast Standard; Bead Blast Thin; Bead Blast Thick

 

Finish Options;

 

D11 - Double Nickel Chrome Satin

D12 - Double Nickel Chrome Deep Satin

D13 - Double Nickel Chrome Satin Mirror

D14 - Double Nickel Chrome Mirror

D21 - Double Nickel Satin

D22 - Double Nickel Deep Satin

D23 - Double Nickel Satin Mirror

D24 - Double Nickel Mirror

D32 -

D41 - Copper Under Nickel Chrome Satin

D42 - Copper Under Nickel Chrome Mirror

D43 - Copper Under Nickel Satin

D44 - Copper Under Nickel Mirror

D51 - Matte White Chrome

D52 - Matte Black Boron

D61 - Gun Blue Satin

D62 - Gun Blue Mirror

D63 - Gun Blue Matte

 

*mirror = chrome ; satin = brushed*

 

Head Options;

 

Loft - Up to 2* strong or weak

Lie - Up to 2* flat or upright

Face Progression - Up to 2mm offset/onset  (face progression; the higher the number in mm the less offset)

Bounce - Up to 2* low or high

Head Weight - have the option to go 7 grams in either direction in 1 gram increments either heavier or lighter with regards to the stock head weights for each iron

Hosel Diameter - 9.1mm to 9.5mm hosel diameter depending on shaft choice (these go up in .05mm increments)

 

Paintfill - None; Black; White; Gold Metallic; Blue Metallic; Red Metallic; Dark Red; Orange; Pink; Yellow; Green; Purple; Turquoise; Light Blue; Silver Grey

 

Initial Stamp Option - Can have your initials stamped in a couple various locations

 

*The TB Zero Muscle Back has 3 stamping options; standard; Miura in handwritten script; Miura in more block form

Apologies for the delayed response. In Japan, not the big box golf retailers, but the smaller independent ones that carry brands like jbeam, crazy, baldo, modart, a grind etc most if not all post daily blogs showing some of their work, new products, etc. I know a bunch of shop names and their respective ameblo blogs. 

 

If you just wanted to search though, the best would be go to ameba.jp and type in something in the search box, sort by new and be prepared to waste away the day looking at all kinds of JDM golf excellence

Yes mizuno through the now defunct Yoro program and miura giken offer the copper under a couple finishes, not all.

If you chose Type S, I understand you can't modify Sole (I assume Sole would default to whatever may be Standard); are you still able to modify Topline?

 

And, any pictures available of D11 and D22? I'm trying to compare 11, 12, 21 and 22.

Hey again, so I will double check on the Type S and Type R Modifications, I think you maybe able to touch the top line, but I am not 100% sure, the purpose for not being able to choose a different sole grind is to keep the desired look and function of the Type S/R shape.

 

there is D22 above, albeit in a tc-101, I will try to find a D22 in blade form or something that shows off the difference better....

 

will go on the hunt for a D11 as well....
