Cleveland CBX 3 coming in 2021?

If they change it, it won’t be significant. The current CBX2 is outstanding. Could not be more forgiving and if you want something more traditional, just go with the zipcore.

From the looks of it the last two were released in summer... I would guess if anything is comingn we should hear about it in the next few months..

I would guess we see something late summer or early fall.. with all this covid crap it could be a early 22 release

I just received my new 50 and 54 and they are so much better then the orig

They don't even need to do anything with them. I'm still playing the originals, that's how good they are. Will venture onto the 2's next year but they have done wonders for my game while still looking like a regular wedge.

Any update on this? I've been wondering myself. To buy the CBX 2 set or wait for a potential new release?!

I was wondering the same. CBX2s were released in July 2019 so chances are we could see a replacement this summer.

I need new wedges but am going to hang on and see if this is the case. I'd like to see what's happening with the Ping Glide 3.0 replacement as well.

I have been playing my cbx 2 a ton this year.. if I could just hit the green a little more often they wouldn't be needed as much

Anyhow.. I have never hit my wedges as well as I do these cbx 2..

It almost feels like cheating some days. I had 3 chip ins this weekend

This is how I feel. It is the ‘get out of jail free’ club. The CBX2 58 I play works off any lie. My buddy grabbed a 56 after seeing me in action. He loves it. I am thinking about adding it at gap wedge. I play a Vokey SM6 S grind at 54. I like having the different options I get with the Vokey 54 vs the CBX2 58.

I have the 58* full face CBX 2 and it is automatic from the sand

I am hoping they don't come out with a CBX 3 because I will have to get it

I have been thinking about getting a 60 full face to use as a sand wedge... I have the CBx 60 and it works great... Curious if its worth the upgrade ?

The full face in 58 or 60 is absolutely worth it over the standard. Best high loft wedge I have ever owned. Wasn't sure about it at first, not going to lie. It actually sat for a season right after I got it because it was so weird looking down on it. So glad I committed to it late last year. Been automatic this year whether it's straight faced or opened up a bit, they got everything right regarding the feel, weight and playability.

I had ask this question regarding another club and was told this is GOLFWRX, we buy even if we don't even need it.

In all seriousness, I would upgrade the full face is awesome,  but maybe wait a few weeks to make sure there is no CBX 3

Good luck

I love my cbx 2... I may have to wait it out and see if they release anything in the next month..

I placed an order for a CBX2 wedge with my custom specs back on June 9 online. It’s said something like expect 3-4 weeks, but when I placed a similar order (different loft) in early May it shipped in 3-4 days with the same 3-4 week disclaimer. I called today to check status and was told the satin head in the loft I wanted was out of stock until September. I would think if a new model was getting close to release they wouldn’t be building heads that far out. Seems doubtful we will see a CBX3 before 2022.

Are there any disadvantages to the CBX vs the RTX? I've been playing RTX just cause I thought I was "supposed" to being an 8 handicap. I don't do a lot of fancy shots except an occasional flop.

For me it's all about the forgiveness.. plus I'm a toe hitter and the cbx 2 is great for that

Some low caps don't like the looks of the larger head.. I don't care what it looks like or what it's called..

The only thing I care about is the end result

Does anyone have any idea how long it would take for this to come to market

What is the general timeframe for a club to show up on the conforming list to make it to retail?

Should we see this in the fall or next year?

There is no way a CBX zipcore will be much different from the CBX2, which is already hollowed out. If it performs well that will make it as good as the CBX2. It won’t perform better and it may not even look better. I’m expecting CBX2 will get slightly discounted, maybe to $129, and I’ll grab another one.
