What’s the Best Feeling in Golf?

True story, a friend an I (both over 65) get joined up with a twosome at Tarandowah which is a beautiful and tough links course. The two guys are very condescending saying that this is too much course for old guys and women. They say we are playing the blues, you guys play the front tees if you want.

 

My friend and I waxed them by more than 10 strokes. At the end of the round, I remarked that they should consider playing the whites instead.

 

It was a wonderful feeling.

... Hitting my Cobra MIM 4 iron on to a par 5 in two. The club feels insanely good and using an iron to get on a par 5 in two is always an emotional boost.

Often times its the anticipation of playing; excitement for camaraderie, hope that a great performance awaits, etc. and sometimes its the feels afterwards when all those anticipations were achieved.
