Brooks to Srixon golf balls?

That Brooks has changed is definitely an interesting one given a story that has been heard in the past. I think that it was JT on the NoLayingUp podcast who mentioned that Brooks was the guy who told one of the Titleist reps that one ball (presumably the V1x) rolled out 2 inches further on putts compared to the other (presumably the regular V1). That is a guy that is clearly dialled in when it comes to his golf ball. It will be interesting to see how he adjusts.

Their parent company is loaded.  So they probably can.  Does it fit with their overall strategy is probably a better question.

I played the Srixon XV ball through the last 3 versions. They've improved the latest released version on putts but it's still not great compared to balls like Titleist/Snell/TM. Firmer and I would agree it doesn't roll as well as the others mentioned based on feel and roll.

 

I stopped playing them because of durability. I couldn't get a ball to last 9 holes without getting major scuffs that would impact flight. I switched to Snell and have had them last over 18 holes.

They are pretty good balls, I think. The tour player from our club plays them and the clubs. Good enough for me.

They probably would only do ball and irons, maybe hat and glove. They don’t pay hideki for driver because they would rather put more players in a ball deal. Hideki driver money is 5 tour players on ball deals. Brooks would probably come in even higher.

 

They defintiely have the money though. If they really wanted to spend it. They fall under Dunlop sport which is under the larger sumitomo rubber company.

Agree with this, love Brooks. I can't wait for the day he goes full on Ricky Bobby and wows us with a "yea I wake up in the morning and I p*$$ excellence" during a live press conference.

Ha ha.  The dude looks like he should be in WFC or playing linebacker for some NFL team.

Is his injury all healed?   He did not look that great at American Express this past week.

Feel like him not using the Srixon ball puts to rest any talk of a sponsorship deal? Still using the ProV...I know he does have the irons in the bag
