Brand of golf bag should match clubs - change my mind

Just heard about this thread from someone on another thread. Just so you know, you're not the only one who has this idea...I have the same "mental block", Lol! 

 

The majority of my clubs are TaylorMade, so bought 3 TM bags over the last 2 months during lockdown here and they're all pretty crappy. Luckily the used market for TM gear/clubs in my area is red hot, so I've been able to flip them...but definitely learned the lesson that you have to buy the highest quality product that works for you regardless of brand.

 

My previous bag was OGIO and it was built like a tank, so will look again at OGIO, and have heard good things about Sun Mountain and PING also.

I use Sun Mountain bags partly because they're good but also to get around my own ocd in terms of matching the brand of my bag with that of my irons. 

 

Put another way, Sun Mountain don't make clubs so I'm free to use whatever brand of irons I like without worrying about matching them with my bag!

Yeah, I don’t think you, @nvr3putt, and I are the only ones by a long shot.

 

I see a ton of guys that have all TM clubs w/ matching TM bag, all Callaway, all PING etc.
 

I almost feel like that might actually be a large percentage of the golfing community who watch PGA Tour guys w/ their full Staff bags of matching clubs stalk the fairways on our TV screens.

Not saying it’s right, but I think there’s a lot more golfers w/ that mentality than are being mentioned on this thread.
