KBS CT Tour & Garsen QuadTour TPE Grips

Reshafted and gripped my two putters, both with KBS CT Tour shafts and Garsen QuadTour TPE grips.  Spider Tour Black and a White Hot Tour 1.

how is the grip?

Have you ever compared those to a flat cat or P2 Aware grip? Looks like I might like those.....

Flat cat is a really odd shape basically a rectangle and the size you get obviously varies on the shape. The Garsen Quad Tour sits nicely in the hands if you're doing a more traditional grip. The P2 aware forces your hands forward and can be uncomfortable on the wrists.  At least that was my experience with those 3.

Garsen is still 4 sided but more angled?

Yup shape is an isoscles trapezoid, allows it to rest in the hand or fingers well.

Looks like I need to educate myself on all their offerings 🙂

If I used a traditional grip I'd be using the Quad Tour on a lot of putter, I like their Ultimate grip for the claw.

Hm... I'm planning to re-shaft my Spider X with KBS CT Tour shaft in the near future. Is there anything I need to be aware of or is it a pretty standard re-shaft? 

 

p.s. I have the slant neck model just like yours.

Possibly, the tapered could be similar but different shapes on both. I'd say try it and see what you think.

Nope easy off easy on, that odyssey though was a pain in the a**...

Thanks. Why is Odyssey more difficult? Was it because of plumber neck or just happen to be this particular putter?

It had some type of spacer or shim ring starting about a 1/4 way down inside the hosel, wound up having to drill it out. No amount of heat or twisting was taking the old shaft out.  Tipped the new shaft a bit and had to use a brass shim to take the slop out.

Doesn't the Spider X already come stock with that shaft?

Ordered direct from Garsen.  Check out their Instagram @garsengolf  or www.Garsengolf.com.  You’ll have to drop

them an email for the TPE version.

 

Couldn’t be happier with the grips.  The trapezoid shape combined with the firm TPE feels great in the hands.  After about an hour of practice the hands fall repeatedly on the grip the same way.  The shape gives instant feedback of hand placement.  For me, it gives me the feeling of a solid flat back left hand heading to the hole, as I would generally be to strong with the left hand, and completely opposing right hand.

 

Good feed back from the putter head through the shaft into the grip with this combo in both heads.

Does the bottom of the grip come to a V or is it a 4 sided grip? Having a hard time visualizing it 🙂

The Spider X stock shaft from factory is the KBS CT Tour putter shaft.

Please could you share a bit more about your experience with those shafts, I might try them as an alternative to the BGT Stability
