Cobra Forged Tec - Copper Version

Love mine. I swapped them for the black $ taper lite and black utx grips. I’ll post some pics on Monday when I get back home. They look and feel sweet.

I've played my King Tours about 5-8 rounds.  They were the demo set from the store, which the staff was nice enough to sell me.  So the 7 iron has seen the most wear.  No real issues on the club faces, just the light off-white markings of a ball or two from normal play.   All the clubs were bent up 2 so they have heavy handed markings from that.  

 

That said, these will wear.  The 7 iron was handled a lot by the staff (they loved it and swear it is way softer than the non-copper version, which I never bothered to hit).   Personally, I like the wear and patina.  Kinda like raw wearing a pattern of my use.  Makes it a little special to me. Here are couple pics. 

 

These feel really great.  And look killer by the ball.

Does the copper diminish or add to the look of the offset? I thought the originals just didn’t fit my eye with the offset but curious on how this finish looks..

Any additional feedback from those who have these? How is the finish wearing? Any address pics showing offset?

If the copper is anything like Cobra's black finish then I think they should stand up for a while.  I gamed the black Forged Tec for a few months and after several rounds and range sessions they still looked brand new.

Its been stated several places here on Wrx....the Black Forged Tec were a DMB type finish which lasted great...I played those an entire season 35-40 rds and still looked new after that.  

The New Copper Forged Tec are a PVD type finish...so not sure how its going to last, but hope its good.

Anyone else have any more feedback on these irons and on the finish? Toying with the idea of switching from my p790 to these.

Mid round. Honestly I would say they wear exactly like the silver version. I have a set of those as well.

Those are tee marks you see from white tees so they will come off.

got a few scratches hitting out of mud

 

Love the feel of these.  Happy I got them

I think that these are just something different - More a color i’d associate with wedges rather than irons.

Faces and soles look pretty good

lots of early edge wear from bag chatter I guess

bag is a c130 they are all in their own slots

more pics.  Got another half round in today.  Kinda bugs me.  Emailed Cobra

It really is.  I didn’t really expect the edges and hosels to wear as much as they have already.  Guess I kind of expected them to wear like my black wedges have.  

 

I’ll post some more pics up after a few more rounds.

No.  Added more pics to original post after 9 more holes.  Playing 2 rounds this weekend.  Have not heard anything from Cobra

Took them 22 days to respond and they only ended up responding because I made a comment on one of their Instagram posts for the irons.  Responded to their email but nothing else has been received.

 

Also filled out a request to return them but haven't heard anything back. 

 

I do not recommend these irons in this finish.  Wish I went with silver.
