What's similar to the Aldila R.I.P. Alpha?

What is similar to this older Aldila RIP Alpha shaft?

https://www.aldila.com/sites/aldila/files/ALD-TECH SPEC-RIP ALPHA_r1v20181116.pdf

I was fit into this shaft, cut 1" long, for a Titleist 910D a decade ago and loved it.  When I finally upgraded to a Callaway Epic Subzero I felt I lost a lot of distance, despite being fit into a different shaft.  I was able to order the same Aldila RIP shaft I had in my 910D, put it in the Subzero and immediately was back in business.

It's that time again to upgrade by driver (likely a Callaway EPIC Speed) and wondering what similar options would be? Or, assuming the hosel fitting is the same, do I just throw my old shaft in a new head? I've had the shaft for probably 4 years, so unsure when a shaft should really be replaced.

Fuji Pro 2.0 is VERY similar and feels a bit smoother. RIP Alpha was my favorite fairway shaft previous to finding the Fuji.

Current RIP a user and used the UST ProForce V2 prior to that. The closest recent offering that I have found that comes close to this feel is the PX HZRDUS Smoke Black.

Longest, best feeling driver shaft I’ve played was a Aldila RIP alpha in a TM burner. Currently game a Ping G10 4 wood that I can’t kick out of the bag with a UST Proforce V2, love that shaft.

Hit a ton of drivers last season, clear winner was the TS2 with the Hzrdus smoke black. I’m quite shaft profile sensitive and these are pretty much my top all time favs. (Diamana ahina being an honourable mention).

I had an RIP gamma in my 3 metal many years ago and loved it.  Tested the RIP alpha and it was a good one as well.  The RIP X is most similar IMO in terms of flight but with more feel.  Very low/low shaft and very underrated.

RIP X is definitely the next iteration... The X is STOUT though... Not sure if the S plays stiffer or if I'm just an idiot for ordering a 75 X.

I'm a huge Aldila fan... I tend to always end up back in their shafts... I really like the Aldila Silver, which is a different profile, but works great for me.

I'm a huge fan too.  I had the Rogue Silver in my Aeroburner back in the day and it was a match made in heaven.  Low/low shafts just seem to work for me.  RIP X is just so stable like the RIP alpha but I think they added more exotic materials hence more feel.  It's perfect for hard loaders like myself.  It's one of those shafts that's tough to load like the CK Pro White, but it's one of the best anti-left shafts ever made IMO.

Yeah, I had briefly hit the RIP X last season and it was fine... I'm recovering from a back injury and hadn't swung a club full in a few months... my timing was off and I wasn't swinging that hard... so it wasn't a great match for me right now...

I'm hoping as I get my speed back it will be a better fit. I'm probably going to swap it out for now... but hopefully it will work better when I'm back to swinging full.

If you liked the Alpha, buy the RIPx. Played one in my 3W prior to the Ventus. Plays just like the Alpha, with a touch more feel. Very anti-left. Also, they're like $250 brand new, and you can find them cheaper than that, which is considerably cheaper than other upcharge shafts.

If you love the RIP Alpha - why not just keep playing it - you can still source them.

I still rock the Rip Alpha in my 3wd and use a hybrid shaft in my #3 driving iron and 4 iron....and they rock.

But am curious to try out a RipX....but if you like something and its still available, why not stick with it?

I have the RipX 70X and pulled it from my new driver as it's currently too stout... still recovering from a back injury, so my CHS is down. The White 70X is doing fine for me right now, but definitely has a higher ball flight... I'm excited to get healthy enough to game the RipX, though... I loved the ball flight it generated.

I'm currently contemplating with Aldila shaft I want to pull from my collection to cut down and toss into a side project... It's like Sophie's Choice... which of my shafts gets cut down in it's prime?
