It was a pretty sloppy round, bogeyed all the par threes and one the easiest par 5s on the course, and I had 5 bogeys on the back 9.

Could have been a very low round. Shot 32 on the front and had an up and down back with 4 bogeys and three birdies. Had a three putt and missed two 5 or 6 foot par putts. I had one really long birdie putt from the green edge but the rest of the birdies were within 5 feet and the eagle was about 3 feet.

This round had the pontential to be very low. 31 on the front and no bogeys until the 13th hole. 3 putted a par 5 green

I hit in 2 and made bogey from 65 out, middle of the fairway. Oh well not bad I guess.

i shot a horrible 92 today with a 49 on the front and a 43 on the back. short game was terrible and the course was soaking wet which was killer.

 

felt like i hit the ball well enough to score in the 80s....

Played 9 last Sunday (only day its been above 40* in the last 3 weeks). Shot a 39 with one birdie, one eagle, four bogeys, and one double. However, I will say it is a very tough course. From the tips it plays 2 full strokes over par to ~7100 yrds. I was mildly content.

basiclly even though I live in NC I hate winter golf the thin lies the greens just suck the ball goes no where because its cool

 

 

my last four rounds were 79 84 87 80 so todays 76 was a lot better. Actually in none of those rounds did I hit less tan 9 greens today I hit eleven .

 

In most of those rounds my putting was horrific.

 

Today I had 33 putts but hit a lot of really good putts that just missed. It would not be hard to have shot five or six shots better.

 

This time of year that would have been solid for me.

 

Oh well I can live with four over its those eighty somethings that piss me off

I had an ugly 77 yesterday with a new set of irons. I tried a different set today and shot 72. I am still in need of a set of irons that feel right. Weather was great for two days.

Played the Stadium course at Sawgrass; shot 96 with 6 pars (5 of those were good looks at birdie). Couldn't putt, couldn't get out of the sand, it was feast or famine. But it was the one oppurtunity in my life to play it, so you can't help but be pleased

I'd take a 96, heck I'd take a 106. We have white concrete around here. That is snow that has rain on top and then froze. My 200 lb fat butt cannot sink in this stuff. Oh and the air temp right now is about 12*F.

Bro in law and I played here in SE Georgia as they stopped by on way back to Ohio..... (where it is snowing).

 

 

It was Cold and windy, but sunshine warmed us up. He shot 86 and I got him with the old putter,, by 4. He sure outdrove my old rearend..LOL! Course was wet and greens not bad considering the cold. Had a great time.! Love this GAME!

i shot an 89 today with horrendous short game and putting on a fairly tough course from the tips. i didnt get up and down in 2 once today....

 

anyway, hit the ball great after experimenting with a super smooth tempo and full rotation and my strong right hand grip. have never hit the ball better. if i had put well could have easily been a new record for me at about 84ish.....

Shot a PB 65 (-7) yesterday. Played the middle tees with some friends of mine. Course was wet but greens were receptive and rolling good. Below are the stats:

So far this year, 3 rounds and 1 trip to the range(what am I doing?). So far I've putted, drove, and hit the sticks pretty well for me(just trying to break 80 at this point). The chipping and pitching has been awful. Wish I had a good place around here to practice pitching! Chipping has just been rusty I guess.

I had a rough go this past weekend. I am still trying some different drivers irons trying to find a set for the season. Scores this weekend were 75, 74 .

Well I just got out to play for the first time since last fall and I had some new gear to try out. I only played 9 holes but ended up with 5 pars 2 bogeys and a triple on the first hole as well as the only par 5. This was the first round I have played with my new Titleist 755 irons and Titleist 905S 8.5* driver. I ended up driving a 280 yard green and screwing up the eagle and birdie putt. Minus the first hole and the par 5 I had a great day especially since I don't get to play a lot between college and work. I might have played 7 rounds of golf all year in 2007 though I do frequent the local range to get out some frustration and relax as much as to practice.

 

Anyways I had a great first day back and it made me excited for this season and hopefully I will be able to get my scores down in the low 80s consistently.

I was playing off a handicap of 11 and today I had 75 Scratch(44 pts), which is 3 over at my home course, putter was working pretty well, except for that missed 3 footer and chubbed chip, chipped again thru the green :S .. Solid Double haha!

in my dreams i shot a sweet little 69....two solid birdies inside 8 feet. the other was clutch from 25'. no bogeys.

My home course handicap is a 16 and we had a Masters tournament today. Friday night we drew a name out of a bag of pro who made the cut at the Masters...their score would be combined with ours for a 2 man team score, with 3 flights of 30 players each flight. Started with par-bogey-birdie! Finished with an up and down 91 for a net of 75. The 75 was good for a 9 place finish in my flight of 30 players on individual score, but I drew damn Heath Slocum and lost ground on the field insead of going the other way.

 

So it was a tournament 91 that EASILY should have been an 87 or 88 or better. Oh well...good warm up for the my first ever Charlotte etour tournament next Saturday!
