Grip experiments. Im am really into the non mainstream grips these days

Anyone have any feedback on non mainstream grips or something new to try?  A couple years ago I was an MCC+4 guy.  Since then I have played iomic and I am more interested in the Tour G golf grips (Specifically the Cord ones). Is the only difference between the 30,50, and 70 the softness? or is it size too? Any opinions on the following would be helpful.  It's a lot of money for grips and don't know much about either of them.

Perfect Pro Grips (Perfect Pro X with Phiten)

Tour G 30,50,70

Try masda slicks u can get them on https://www.fromjapan.co.jp/en/ for like 9 bucks a peice before shipping and fees. I also like the muziik dry compounds but those may be harder to find.  Tour g is ok nice cord grips but don’t stand out to me. Perfect pro didn’t do it for me either nothing special there. The caderos are great especially on woods. Very sticky.

I used to play the Phiten perfect pro cords exclusively and then moved to the Caderos.  Am currently in transition to Xroz and Elite XT grips. Both are really good and have fantastic feel and tackiness for non cords.

I went from mainstream Golf Prides to Iomics and also dabbled with a few grips with No1.  The difference is Golf Prides are a straight rubber compound and Iomics and No1s are what I call "silastomers", which is short for a silicone elastomer.  It's fundamentally different than rubber because of the silicone.  And I liked how both the Iomics and No1s felt.  The texture is smoother but still "grippy".  But my biggest issue was wear.  Both of them wore out much faster than rubber Golf Prides.  I easily had to replace them after a season.

Fast forward to today, and nearly every grip in all my three main sets is a GripMaster.  My all time favorite is the kangaroo leather one.  The Roo.  Ultimately leather, by GripMaster in particular, is my grip of choice, bar none.  Leather just lasts so much longer and feels so much better.  And it's treated with a tacky chemical that keeps them "grippy".

Had the Masda Slick grips on a set of Epons and loved them. Impossible to find now, and they were always pricey.

Had the leather Gripmasters on a set of Tourstages, and couldn't get them off soon enough- no good in the wet, mushy feeling, and left a residue on your hands when using.

Iomics are great if you get the right model; NO1's feel very thin, and again, not good in the wet.

JMHO/YMMV.

I have heard nothing but good things about the Tour G grips but Im sure like the Masda's they are super hard to find.  I was surprised how easily I could find comic grips these days! They've come a long way! Still don't know the difference from the 30,50 and 70 in the Tour G's. If anyone has tried them and has input that would be awesome.

It’s really easy to find these Japanese grips on Japanese buying services like fromjapan. Just buy a bunch at once and maybe a few wedges or iron sets 😂 and the shipping costs isn’t bad.

Give the No1 Series 50 a shot. I had them on my old irons and really liked them. I play MCC +4 now by virtue of convenience.

Currently play the Tour G 50's cord's and have the J-Spec in my wedges.  Great grips might be the best I have used.  They also last.  the J-Spec with the cord in my upper hand and non cord in my lower hand are my favorite grip.  Warning on the cord's they are not for the faint of heart or hand.

I was going to chime in on the J-Spec Tour G's but chicolax2 beat me to the punch.

Really good grips that really are the best of both worlds.  I don't wear a glove, so the bottom hand has enough grip to keep the club from slipping and the right hand feels good.  Not super tacky, but not slick either.  From what I understand the grip is designed by Jumbo Ozaki, thus the J-Spec name.

Lately I have been gravitating towards grips with spines (Align, Calibrate) for my irons, but like the J-Spec for clubs with adjustable sleeves since the spine doesn't change with the orientation of the shaft.

I've been playing the Xroz and the Elite XT on 2 different sets for a while now. I have a slight preference towards the Xroz.  The Elite XT is better for wet conditions if that is a factor.
