I wouldnt have though Clymer to be a golf guy. During the height of his Hodinkee tenure he came off as a NYC hipster elitist without an ounce of athleticism. Funny to see him doing golf.

Is it spinny at all?  How are the flight dynamics of that shaft?  Been looking at the Ventus Red for my 3 wood but was afraid it would be too spinny

I compared it to a raw white x and a Ventus blue x.. I did not see an increase in spin.. just a touch higher launch which is what I was looking for in a 3 wood.  I'm really impressed with the shaft off the tee and from the fairway.

Nice comparison.  Yeah that's exactly what I'm looking for in a fairway wood shaft.  Right now I'm playing an Oban Tour Limited which might be too stout for a 3 wood.

Red gets a "bad rap" for being spinny, it is not. Give it a try, you will be impressed. Spin can also be your friend in fairway woods...you want that height and descent angle into par 5's. Great for fairway woods.

Thanks for the info!  Totally agree with the "spin can be your friend".  That's why I think I'm not hitting my 3w consistently.  I'm currently gaming a Oban Tour Limited 100g O5 (xstiff) and I think I might not be generating enough spin.

Adam Scott has altered his driver setup again this week ahead of the Open Championship.  He's got a TSI4 in play with his old AD-DI 8X with the goal of becoming an accurate driver again moving away from chasing speed.

Looked like AS switched driver shafts again to almost pull out the win.  What did he go back to?  Looked like the KK he used to play.
